I tried a 3-pack to wear in 6" boots because they are a lot less expensive than level 1 socks. They are a good value but they are definitely not as good as the level 1's. They take forever to dry, usually leave them hanging a day before putting them in the drawer. They don't move moisture as well as the level 1's and you may pay the price in odor as a result.
Comfortable, warm, feet do not sweat in it
On my feet at the range, socks limit sweating and keep my feet comfortable.
I bought these for my partner because he is a big 5.11 fan
If you are use to the level I or II socks you will not like the socks that come in the three pack. They are much thinner than the others and all three pair have at least one corner where the stitching or seam grinds into your toe.
Didn't really need a high quality sock like the others, just looking for something basic and comfortable enough to wear to work. Like everything else 5.11 makes, this will probably last me forever. The three pack was a good value for what I wanted, which was just a few well made socks for non strenuous work.
Now if they would only make a full suit too...
I have sensitive toes so the seam has to be situated just right. I do find them to be very well made and are wearing well. I only use them for work and is why I bought them in black to go with the uniform.
Reccomended by a coworker on the same team. They start out great, but have short life at the toe. Within 3 weeks, my large toe was poking through, the rest of the sock looked brand new. I only wear them 3 to 4 days a week. I have purchased a dozen pairs and they all end up the same. Great support, especially walking on concrete for 10-12 hours. Hate throwing them away, but I am not one to darn my socks.
