Bought this best to go with my 5.11 TacLite pants and use off-duty as needed. Belt is heavy duty and exactly what I want and needed. Held up well after 20+ shifts and no break downs or pre-mature wear.

I have several of these belts in different colors. The belts themselves are good - the buckle is another matter. The action of pulling the belt back to engage the buckle causes the belt to start breaking down within a couple of months!! See other reviews in the 1.75" belt about the feeling that it is broken in two. The Signature Belt Buckle does help to get around this problem as you don't have to bend the belt back to engage. I've heard that this buckle is now discontinued ([...] appears to have bought the remaining stock).What I'd like to see is another version of the Signature Belt Buckle in a non-metallic (ceramic, synthetic material?) configuration for those times you have to go through an airport and want to have a more business-professional look without having to take it off at the inspection area!

I have had this belt for about 3 months now and I am very disappointed in how it is has held up. I do wear a belt everyday but I thought that the quality would have been a little better due to the price of the belt. The leather is easy to get scuffed up and the leather has begun to separate. The plastic insert where the holes are has broken. It worked well with a holster but this is not an everyday belt by any means.

BEAUTIFUL LOOKING BELT WHEN WORN FIRST TIME, SUPPORTS PADDLE OR BELT LOOP HOLSTER WELL. AFTER PULLING THROUGH BUCKLE AND FASTENING 2-3 TIMES, BUCKLE EDGE SCRAPES FINISH NEAR BUCKLE REQUIRING EITHER CONSTANT RE-APPLICATION OF POLISH OR RELEGATING IT TO UNDER SHIRT USE BECAUSE IT IS TOO UNSIGHTLY FOR DRESS WEAR OR WITH COAT AND TIE FOR COURT. RE-MACHINING OR RE-DESIGNING BUCKLE WOULD SOLVE PROBLEM AND I WOULD BUY MORE OF THEM. HAVE ORDERED A 5.11 STITCHED DRESS BELT TO SEE IF IT IS OF BETTER DESIGN AND QUALITY

Good quality belt with a lousy buckle makes a fair-to-poor product. Easing the corners and edges on the buckle would make it a very good product. As is it seems over-priced. Spend a little more on a decent buckle to make it operate smoother and keep the belt looking good. Compare off-the-rack belt buckles with really good ones. The good ones feel better and work better because they're finished better. Finish this buckle better and the product will be good.

Like the stiffness. That part works.
