I am in the private security field, and I work for one family. They have very particular needs, and this bag allows me to carry my weapon as well as a back up!
I have to carry a plethora of different items that are needed at a minutes notice. This bag allows me to carry what I need, and have it accessible ASAP!

I am a military professional, and I bought this bag to work with my RUSH 72 backpack. It is very easy to move around with it, it holds all I need on a daily basis, and when you put the water bottle holder/medium drop pouch with it, it is absolutely perfect if you don't want "too much" in a day-to-day bag. Very, very easy to get in/out of the car, and you can tighten the shoulder strap for over the shoulder quick carry (opposed to the cross body shoulder carry). It doesn't tend to want to slip off the shoulder in this carry mode like most standard backpacks do. Seems very balanced and you just can't beat the 5.11 construction. I've used numerous other brands, which are quality bags, but none come close to the look, build, and utility of these backpacks. It just works. They have put a LOT of time doing their homework, and apparently listened to their customers. I LOVE THIS BAG!

I bought this bag to help conceal my Walther P22 and was very surprised how good it holds and protects my IPAD2 with the hard backing in the back compartment. There are so many pockets and love the fact you can add other bags and packs to it.

Awesome product! the new color is great and stylish. I spend a lot of time utilizing tactical gear and this is my daily bag. My girlfriend has the smaller rush and it is great to attach her bag to mine.

I bought this bag to meet my EDC system requirements of getting in and out of vehicles, a bag smaller than a backpack- to fit under my feet while traveling in a car, molle/pals webbing to attach pouches externally, and carry general kit while wearing athletic clothes as I am a track and cross country coach (for know at least) and don't have lots of pockets; plus, I don't like having to take everything out of my pockets before running/showing kids how to exercise etc. My general kit includes lots of keys to the school buildings and locks, phone, wallet, knife, first aid kit, nalgene bottle, cordage sections, sometimes a macbook pro 13in with power/internet cords, multitool, jackets, gloves, change of clothes, etc…I added a "other companies" Single Sheath pouch to carry my multitool on the outside as well as the "other companies" M-1 Pouch for my phone/camera/quick storage. I would recommend adding a small 4x4 pouch (anything 1in deep or less) to the front for increased storage without overloading the front zippers, as I attached a "other companies" first aid pouch and ended up with a bloated front section.
I like the sling pack concept because when standing or entering a vehicle the bag doesn't need to be taken off in order to access items like keys, wallets, water. Bag fits underneath feet in vehicle while traveling so electronics or small items can be accessed easily. This bag is good for a trip with a duration of 1-2 days with a underwear/shirt change. Anything beyond that and I would bring along a duffel. Great tourist style bag for roaming cities/towns with non heavy load. Used it while rock climbing but would not take this rock climbing again as there wasn't enough room for harness, shoes, biners, extra rack etc…
The strap kept coming loose from the position I liked so I took the buckle and inverted it (more resistance on the strap webbing) then tied the tail end down to the external pals webbing so it wouldn't come loose. Coms pocket is useless to me because I have to take the bag off in oder to access anything inside it. Pack is constructed of durable material with no problems with it coming apart. I have not used the CCW pocket except to carry a 3.5'' Hard Drive but I can say that I could not feel the HDD in the pocket so a gun of similar size would disappear as well. I have two 5.11 wishes. 1. extend the padding on the shoulder strap so that pouches when attached in that location sit farther down the shoulder instead of ontop. 2. Widen the 'water bladder' section of the pack so one could better fit my macbookpro. There is space but only if one crams the pro in there. 5.11 could add another zipper on the panel nearest the water bladder section which would allow for easier access to a laptop if need be.
