Prior Military, ATTENTION!!!

Comments about 5.11 Tactical RUSH 72 Backpack:
I currently use my Rush 72 backpack daily for armed security work. I can't leave the house without it. If I ever get deployed again, it's as ready as I am. It carries everything!!! It's also EXTREMELY Tough. I once (Accidentally) dragged it under my car, halfway down the block, on an icy gravel covered street in Alaska. I freaked out, but my backpack was just fine. Lately it's been keeping my gear dry in the pouring rain. I recommend this bag for anyone who has served in the Military or any True Professional. From desert sandstorms to sub-zero tundra, except no substitutes...

Pros:This bag has a million and one storage compartments, perfect for absolutely everything we need on a SAR mission.Comfortable after being worn for 8 hours. Yes it gets warm but what back pack wouldn't after 8 hours hiking?Cons:None!Other comments:Only warning I'd give about this bag is to remember to shut off your laptop if storing it in the water bag pouch. I forgot I had mine running and after a 5 hour drive it had burned a small hole in the rubber adhesive pad on the bottom. My own fault though, the bag still rocks!
Service and delivery comments:
I placed the order and was surprised the next day at 9am with a delivery! Prompt and awesome service indeed!

I use this product for a multitude of items I carry for emergency or outdoor prepardness. items such as flashlights and first aid, rain coats also a spare of clothes case I end up needing to go on business but don't have the time to pack after this purchase i will proceed in buying the rush 12 and 24 the best thing to do is apply the bags to what your doing thats the only thing I can say about the rush 72 is its not something you can jus walk into a restaurant or even on the street without causing attention if your a civillian but it was design to be a beast thats why I bought it. Great bag met my expectations and beyond.

It is a monster, with a huge appetite

Bought it as a alternate bag to my current 2 bag gear hauling system. Great investment!Once I unloaded both bags into it and added almost another 3rd I knew I made a wise choice! For the Geeks and others:This backpack was NOT designed as a laptop bag or a book bag! While it would and DOES excel in those fields you need to consider the following.1. It is designed to be carried with BOTH shoulder straps.2. There is NO PADDING on the bottom of bag to protect your items, mater of fact there is a couple drain holes on the bottom! IF you chose to carry you electronic toss them in a sleeve/case.The following information is based on traveling on commercial aircraft. As usual YMMV:* It is BIG, US Mainland carriers MIGHT not make you gate check it, BUT be prepared to check it on RJs and fuller coach seating boarding.* It looks military, be prepared for more thorough checks at security check points(I noticed this in the UAE and UK)* As noted in point 1 above, be prepared to have your in-flight essentials in a removable sleeve.* You should use a sleeve to protect your tablets/laptops (see above note)* UK travel could be problematic, these carriers enforce carry on size limits strictly. Which means you will probably end up checking this bag 99.9% of the time. I've got all my needed gear packed, PLUS 3 days worth of clothes and some basic survival stuff(food, first aid, survival items)
