The Holster doesn't hold

As the other commenters have noted, it's an interesting concept that fails terribly in practice. The holster relies on the clip attached to the flashlight to work, which has two fundamental problems:1. The flashlight clip tends to loosen over time, making the flashlight increasingly likely to fall out as time goes on. (The flashlight clip tends to loosen because of all the movement when attached to the holster, e.g. sitting down will stress the clip and occasionally bend it.)2. It doesn't handle movement well. Sitting down in a couch will "push up" the flashlight out of the holster.

In my 7 years as a customer and owning over 100 items from every product group this is the first item I've returned to 5.11. Customer service was nice enough to send out a "new design" for me to try. Initially the light felt a little tighter in the holster but after a few in-and-outs with the light it was just as loose and my light fell out just as easy as the old. I'm not sure what the issue is with this holster but I wonder how this product made it past a desgn team or product development meeting. It's almost like it was an afterthought. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

If you don't mind your light falling off

I received the flashlight and belt holder for a Christmas gift.The flashlights that go with this are great. Flashlight does not stay in the holder.I have drop the flashlight from my duty belt at least 6 - 12 times. Because when you sit or put your jacket on or off the light comes out of the holder.

Good Concept, Terribly Made...

The 5.11 ATAC Belt Clip/Holster Accessory is a good concept, but a terrible design. It does not hold your flashlight very well while wearing it on your belt. When you sit down the flashlight pushes up and out of the belt clip/holster. I actually lost my ATAC L2 flashlight, due to this flaw, the very first night that I used it. When I realized it was gone, I had to back track where I ran my calls to see if I could find it. Luckily I found it laying in a yard of one of the previous patients we had picked up that evening. I would not recommend this belt/clip holster to anyone thinking about purchasing one. You will end up losing your flashlight in the end! In the meantime, I will be searching for a different type of holder for my ATAC L2 flashlight.
