This is my 2nd pair of Haste boots. I love them. They wear great right out of the box and they are easy to polish. My first boot lasted me about 2 years and I wear them all the time on duty. Even through the snow and rain.

This is a horrible problem to have, but I can't get them to wear out! I wear the Haste boot in the summer and ATAC in the winter here in MN. I want to try other 5.11 boots (The Taclite's look great!) but can'y justify buying new if my 'older models' of 5.11's are still functional and look good after 4 years!

Excellent boots. I wore them for over a year with no problems. Very comfortable, durable and they shine really well. They squeak some on polished floors, but not too much.
I wore these boots while I rode my motorcycle and they did great. I was in a wreck on my bike, and one of these boots saved my foot. It got torn up in the process, but it did it's job. I will definately buy another pair.

I am hard on boots and shoes normally. I have never had footwear last me this long. We work 48 hour shifts so I have to be in these boots for a good amount of time. I have had them right at 2.5 years now and just about to order my second pair. It took me over 2 years to wear these out. I absolutely feel like I have gotten my use out of them. They feel like a shoe, but wear like a boot. I have never had an issue with traction. I did not put it as a "con" but they do squeek a little on the hospital floors. Thats not really a con, but thought I would mention it. I am a very picky person when it comes to footwear, so the fact that I am buying these for the second time says alot.

I wear these boots anywhere from airsoft field games to just rainy days getting to work and everywhere in between and here's what I have to say:

Traction
5.11 wasn't kidding around when they said slip-resistant outsole! This boot really shined when i took it up a 9 hour hike up a mountain with my girlfriend. It handled mud, rock, moss really well. I was practically dancing on top of otherwise slippery roots and branches through the trail. I felt sorry for my girlfriend who i had to keep helping up from landing on her bottom. She wore N*rth F*ce boots that day.

Ankle Support
On top of that, I also would have a sprained ankle by now if it weren't for the ample ankle cushioning and support. It seemed to break the momentum of an impending ankle sprain just in time.

Comfort
You'll also be impressed at how soft and comfortable these are despite their rugged look. I can focus on my game better now that i 'm not bothered by the feeling of my toes slamming against the upper, or slip, slide action of my toes against the insole of my previous shoe.

Balance
Running with these boots is a breeze. Other boots I've worn feel like I'm walking on stilts attached to tank tracks making it very awkward to walk much less run. None of that here. You can rely on these boots to fly with you.

Ease of use
The zipper helps loads taking these on and off especially since i lace them up with certain sections of the laces locked for a custom fit. This wouldn't have been been possible without that crucial side zip. Now i can get that perfect fit every time - in no time at all.

My only MINOR complaint:

Cushioning
I'm also a runner and so I'm used to really bouncy cushioning. I expected a bit more responsiveness from the cushioning these boots - but then again it may be too much to ask from a pair of rugged boots.

I solved the problem by switching out the insole with some aftermarket cushioned insole.
