My first day on duty with the boots and it was like putting a pair of tennis shoes on. Through out the day they felt like i have been wearing the for months, very comfortable! By 1500hrs we had a 60 acre brush fire and i decided to wear the new boots. my feet are dry, no blisters and no complaints! A++++++

The boots at first glance look great! really stealthy and aesthetically pleasing. the lacing and cinch system was a little disapointing, a zip would have been highly preferable for rapidly deployment and just ease of use, but it totally makes up with an awesome talon stabilizer grip system, it is so comforting. and i completley submerged it in bucket of water and it was bone dry. Its material is as rugged as you can get but i feel 5.11 had stinged out on the nylon, ideally it should have been 1050 ballistics nylon for optimul durability, but its second best nylon any way which is good. They are so light i forget im wearing shoes and comfort is unsurpassed by any other boot I have found. in conclusion the best boot on the market, well worth the extra $$

Great boot this is my second pair of the same boot. I've used this boot and the previous version of it for a combined total of 3 years. I've been using this pair for about a year and a half. The first pair lasted a year, but my dept. makes all rookies go on a permanent foot post for about a year and all that walking destroyed them. This pair now that I'm assigned to motor patrol barely shows any signs of wear after a year and a half. Even in the blizzard in NYC my feet were dry until I stepped into piles of snow over my knees and I'm 6'2" (can't really blame the boot for my feet getting wet at that point). They dried out relatively quick and were good to go 6 hrs later when I was back to work. I really love the ankle stabilizer it has saved me from twisting my foot a few times. Also the kick toe is really saves your feet whether your kicking in a door or just tripping over something. I recommended my boss get a pair of these when he was looking for a new pair.

I have owned these boots a little over 3 years and put them to use daily. I do a lot of walking at work inside and outside; they perform excellent in normal, wet, snow or ice conditions. I have never twisted my ankle in these and the composite kick-toe has prevented injury countless times.

These boots are actually more comfortable than any pair of shoes I've ever owned. Also fit like a glove out of the box and didn't need to be broken in.

I will finally have to buy a new pair soon, as the sides finally blew out. I have put em' through 3 years of daily use; nothing lasts forever. I blame myself as I stopped waxing and water proofing them about a year ago; the water exposure turned the leather bad and they went.

I would recommend these boots to anyone I know in a heartbeat.

Great all around boot. Had some minor problems with the metal eyelets where the laces go coming off, but for me that was just an ascetic issue. I've worn these boots every day for work in temperatures up to 120 degrees and had no issues with them. They do well in desert sand and mountains. I'm now in a colder climate and they do great with good socks, but I purchased a pair of insulated boots from 5.11 for when the temperature gets really cold.
