Comments about 5.11 Tactical Shoelaces:

I purchased these with a pair of 5.11 XPRT boots a few years ago. After 2 years of hard use, the original shoelaces finally gave out, so I put these on. I will agree that the larger tips, or aglets, were slightly more difficult to fit through the eyelets on the boots. But after a bit of work, they fit through perfectly. The harder part was to fit them through the patented cinch system. I did get them through, and now I'm very happy. The larger size makes it virtually impossible for the aglet to be pulled back through the cinch system holder, unlike the regular shoelaces. I'm very happy with this problem. Just be patient people, work with the product, and it will work with you!

Bought the 5.11 boot laces, they were to replace my worn out one's on my 5.11 boots I use on Patrol every day. The new laces are great, ...but they dont fit the eyelets of the 5.11 boots as the tips are to big on the laces.

Does not fit my 5.11 boot holes. The tips are too thick. By the looks of these comments, im not the only one!

I ordered these shoelaces to replace my old pair of shoelaces on my XPRT Tactical Boot 8" Boots. The replacements that came were of the same exact material, however the shoelace tips were not. The tips were of a larger material and would not fit the 5.11 XPRT Tactical Boot 8" Boot eyelets. Therefore, they were completely useless. The reason I'm disappointed is for the fact that 5.11's description of the product states that it works with "all" 5.11 boots which in fact they don't. It begs the question, did 5.11 even test these shoelace with any of their shoes to see if they would fit? This bogus description of a product should be changed and a new product should be made to fit "all 5.11" boots or boots with small eyelets.

I really like 5.11. The XPRT Tactical Boot 8" Boots are awesome and still going strong in the field. I also own a pair of tac-ak gloves. I just received a new pair of ems pants which were a bit too big but were exchanged easily over the phone for a new size. However after ordering your shoelaces (which were ordered at the same time as the pants) my opinion has changed a bit. Even the customer service apparently could not help me in finding a solution to get new shoelaces for my 5.11 XPRT Tactical Boot 8" Boots. After relooking at The description of the products I was stunned to see that it should work for "all" 5.11 shoes. "will work with all of our 5.11 Tactical boots" are the exact words on your site. That false description also reminded me on why I bought them in the first place. The description of all your products should correctly match their intended purpose. After having a almost flawless experience with your company just to be hit with sort of mishap is very disturbing.
