      Comments about 5.11 Tactical Responder Hi-Vis Parka - Men's:

Hands down the best coat I've ever owned. I work in northern Alberta and it gets down to -40°C with tons of wet snow falling nightly.

I've had to put this coat to the ultimate test when my truck broke down 12km from the closest warm place. Walked in the door 2 hours later and felt colder once I took off the jacket than I had felt the whole walk there!

Pros: Amazingly warm while staying light weight, waterproof, removable liner for easy cleaning, more pockets than Ill ever need, a vehicle saw me 2km away in snowy conditions because of the high-vis.

Cons: High vis yellow gets dirty quickly, but then again it's easy to wash.

        Comments about 5.11 Tactical Responder Hi-Vis Parka - Men's:

Parka has great visibility so that I don't need to wear my safety vest on traffic scenes. I don't find the parka too bulky, but then I am on the cold natured side. The fabric is stiffer than more conventional fabrics, but it is not a deal breaker. One of the large EMS agencies in the area are planning to equip all of their personnel with this product. Overall, I would highly recommend this parka.

        Comments about 5.11 Tactical Responder Hi-Vis Parka - Men's:

Really nice coat. +1 for the pit zips.
A medium is more like a large, but thats ok because its a jacket, and you want alot of freedom of movement for our work. If you went a size down, it would fit really well if your trimmer, and would just wear a t-shirt underneath it. I got rid of the fleece in there, and wear my the 5.11 job shirt. More comfy that way.

          Comments about 5.11 Tactical Responder Hi-Vis Parka - Men's:

Outstanding Parka. Will keep you warm and dry. Excellent pockets and lots of them. Hood attaches very well, and rides on head well. Seems to withstand abrasion well but I would not use for disentanglement or crawling thru fences. The outer shell gets soaking wet but you will stay dry inside the coat and when you hang to dry will drip alot, have used it in -6 deg F and stayed fairly warm. The lighter colors will show dirt and stain, but I am happy to have a slightly dirty parka to stay this warm and dry. Sleeves run just a bit long, but that works well to keep you covered.

            Comments about 5.11 Tactical Responder Hi-Vis Parka - Men's:

I was looking for an all season jacket that could handle anything thrown at it. So far I have found it here in this jacket system. As an EMT working a recent outdoor event in the heat of South Carolina during a series of very severe storms I had the opportunity to wear it in varying configurations as the day went on. Storms typically bring cool temps in the beginning and sweltering tepid heat afterwards. While it is a bit thick in the heat it was tolerable. Even during the driving 50(+)mph winds that came with the storms that day I stayed 100% dry under it and only had to remove the hood and open the front and cuffs to keep from breaking much of a sweat once that storm cell passed and temps rose again into the mid 80s. The size does run a bit large but I was pleased with that since I could wear my camelback under it and hydrate throughout the day without feeling constricted.
