Comments about 5.11 Tactical TacLite Pro Vest:
As an IDPA competitor, I use my 5.11 TacLite vest constantly, whether I'm actively competing or practicing for the next competition. My TacLite vest is of the same superior quality as all my other 5.11 products and I highly recommend 5.11 Tactical products to all my fellow competitors and students. 5.11 Tactical provides me with the gear I need to be successful both on and off the range.

Has held up really well to extended use

About Me Pizza Delivery Driver
The vest is incredible. I fit everything I need in it and then some. It distributes weight really well across the shoulders.Drawback: a little uncomfortable to wear while driving (I drive a compact car). Luckily it has two zippers so I can unzip it from the bottom to provide relief for trips lasting longer than a couple of minutes. I keep red pepper and parmesan cheese packets in the AR magazine pockets, delivery menus in the inside left pocket, and there is lots of room for pens/flashlights/folding knives. I keep my cell phone in the zippered left pocket where it can connect to my bluetooth headset with a strong signal. This vest has done everything I need and more.I wore it 40 hours a week, night shifts, from November through April of last year. In April it started getting too hot to wear. No failures of any kind—it's very durable and reliable. I'm thinking about making a couple of modifications—adding extra money pockets to the inside, for instance, and I really wish there were a male snap receiver on the inside of the left edge to hold the strap in place when I wear the vest unzipped.Drawback: I would not want to wear it in hot weather for long—at least not without some performance gear underneath. Certainly not with a regular t-shirt.Drawback: Was not a big fan of the velcro internal holster system—it could just be that my gun was too small for the holster. I carry a PF-9 and it gets a little lost. However, the cut of the vest is so low I don't have to worry carrying it on my belt.

This is a great vest to wear for my gun repair. The pockets are great for holding the common smaller tools that I use frequently in my gunrepairs

More pockets than you will ever use!

Wear this vest for concealed carry and it works great. As usual with 5.11 products, the workmanship and material is first rate. Overkill never fails... They probably could have gone with a material that was just a bit lighter for warm weather. If this is "Tac-Light" than "Tac-Heavy" must be really stout!

Cool when needed, and it just works

Look no further. This is the best vest around and is worth the price. This vest has held up to sometimes daily wear weeks on end and worked in multiple types of environments. I LOVE the poly/cotton blend, which is important in hot environments. I have worn this on photo assignments, watching kids, going out with kids, and oh yes, it works great as a discreet carry vest. The features are too numerous to list. The left lower front pockets carry either AR magazines or spare camera body batteries perfectly. Business cards can go in the upper front pockets. The water bottles go in the two back pockets. Wallet/ID can go in the Velcro inside lower pockets. Keys go on the right lower outer pocket. Once you get used it it, you don't have to look to engage any of the pockets or recesses - it's muscle memory. It's a practical, durable, and good-looking vest. It holds up to daily wear and keeps its attractive appearance. The only down side is that sometimes the Sheeps think it's a fishing vest, to which I simply smile, nod, and say it works well as a "daddy" vest and move on.If you are looking for a discreet carry vest, this one is it. Look no further. It's worth it.
