Our new 5+4 pocket design adds four multi-use pockets that can store magazines, tools, cell phones or knives in addition to the five pocket jean style. Made of our popular 6.14 oz. poly/cotton ripstop, this pant is lightweight, breathable, wrinkle and fade resistant and treated with Teflon®, perfect for wash and wear performance. Discreet reinforced knee panels add durability for range utility and the diamond gusset improves range of motion. As a lefty, I was happy to find some pants that did not overly lean towards a right-handed person. The only thing keeping these from being 100% ambi is the small d ring on the right side belt loop, but I have no problems securing my keys in my jacket or directly to my belt loop anyway (although I would still like to see them on both sides or even just add the loops and a removable D ring). These things are amazing, I need to get another pair as when dressing for work, I'm almost always tempted to grab these. The extra pockets up front (and back) are perfect for a cell phone, multi-tool, folding knife, flashlight, as well as spare mags when at the range or in a comp. Plenty of room to stash stuff but without any bulky cargo pockets sticking out. Fantastic.

A long wait, but worth it

I will use the pants for prolonged field work on construction and mining projects in hot and arid, or in tropical climates, as everyday work pant. The long term performance has yet to be tested but the initial impression is excellent. try well thought out garment with good cut (allowing plenty of movement) and lots of practical pockets. I ordered two initially but will stock up more.

I was one of the winners of your facebook drawings for the Taclite Jean-Cut pants.I love them. They are comfortable and allow me to carry my magazines discretely in the hidden pockets on the back. I will suggest these pants to others I know in the security industry. They will come in handy for us as a uniform pant for our Bail Enforcement agents.

Great casual pants!

This is a great pair of casual non-tactical looking pants. They pretty much look like a regular pair of pants but still have a lot of the features of other 5.11 pants. They are tough, but lightweight and breathable. The waist on 2 different pairs did measure large. I wear a 32" in all their other pants but had to get a 30" in these. Length was try to size and they didn't shrink when I washed them. Teflon coating works great. Check out my video review of them.
