I purchased two pairs of these pants, for a instructor handgun/shotgun course. We spent more than 30 hours on the range in rainy and windy weather, using more than 1000 rounds of ammunition. The pant held up great considering I put most of my ammunition in my pockets during drills for reload. The pants are comfortable and fit very well, I wear a size 4 and the pockets were large and held many items I need for range work. Finally found the perfect pant. Please make more woman geared items like these pants.

-I have worn a pair of these pants for about six weeks straight and they are still like new! Washed them tons of times, spilled on them, you name it! They also DO NOT shrink, and I ended up getting one size larger so the back pockets would have more room (the women's version of the pants is a little tighter cut so the pockets end up being tighter than if you got the men's.) They fit great and are really comfortable. They keep me cool, even in 90 degree 85% humidity weather.
-Keep in mind that the waist has some elasticity, so if you put anything heavy in the pockets, you're going to have to wear a belt.
-I also got the long size, which usually is barely long enough for me, but the 511 long is LONG! and I have a 34 inseam.

Also, the material doesn't seem to retain smells. Which is good considering the smells I encounter on a daily basis...

I've been in law enforcement for the last 10 years. Like many other women, I have been relegated to the unflattering uncomfortable men's sizes of BDU pants. I have spent many dollars having large sized men's pants have their waists altered so that I have room for my hips. I have never felt feminine in these pants and would cringe when I had to buy new ones.

I was recently moved from a patrol function to a CSI spot which required new utility pants and shirts. I was told by a local retailer that 511 finally had some worthy women's pants that I might be interested in. Looking back, if I could go back and thank that employee I would have recommended her for employee of the year!

My first pair of pants was the taclite in size 12. I was pleasantly surprised…I found these pants fit well in the thigh, hips and waist. The sizing was pretty accurate to my off duty clothing. The only problem I encountered with this pair was when I belted the pants I felt the inseam sort of rode up a bit in the crotch a bit more to my liking. I did not want the feeling or the look of the dreaded toe of camel! I felt that this may pose a problem specifically when sitting for long hours.

I went up to a 14 and noted I did not have this "inseam" issue. Belted up the pants and low and behold I felt great! I sat down, squatted, kneeled and even practiced some high kicks and found I was in a pair of pants that posed no limitation. I was also worried about the backside when I sat down and if I fell victim to the "plumbers crack" curse. I was pleasantly surprised that I was free and clear of that painful "man pant" issue.

I tried the regular length on (I'm 5'5) and the hem hit just a smidge above the base of my boot laces. Im sure for shorter/taller wearers either alteration or a tall size would work well. I took the pants home and wore them to work the next day. I was extremely satisfied with the fit and showed them off to some of my fellow lady officers and they commented on how flattering the pants were. Said good bye to "grandpa" pants…the sad saggy pants I had been relegated to wear over the years.

I have bought every color that 511 has (I wear the pants with polo shirts at work) and have to say this is the best work pant I have EVER worn in my 10 years as a cop. The color has stayed true after several washes and I have not noticed any shrinkage issues. The pants are breathable and allow me to actively work in them. The pants sit nicely on my waist and I do not feel as if I'm wearing "mom jeans (aka high waist)" or "hip huggers (aka low waist pants)." If I was Goldilocks, I would be saying "these are just right!"

Thank you 511 and I hope that other women out there can fall in love with these pants just like I did. I understand that we are all built differently and I appreciate the effort to try to please all women, I just know there will be some that love them and some that are not fans. I just recently got a job in law enforcement and was given two pair of mens 511 pants to try on and use - neither one fit and I became really discouraged that I was going to have to be uncomfortable while working really long shifts. I saw online that you made a womens version and found a local distributor and went and tried some on! I only bought one pair to start out with but now I'm ready to buy a few more! I love these things, they fit perfect and are so comfortable! I would highly recommend them to other women!

I love this brand and waited a long time for the women's fit and expanded sizing. With the recent winter storm system I was finallly able to test the limits of these pants. All in all I was VERY impressed, two+ hours in subzero temps and 3-4 feet of snow, and by the end of the day my legs were still dry. I have to say they were worth every penny.
