Having the right Muscle Mapping® shirt for a ballistic vest is crucial for comfort and performance. Specifically designed for officers who want a compression garment, the 5.11 Muscle Mapping® Shirt fits that need with its unique design and features. It is constructed with our moisture-wicking, anti-microbial and quick-drying fabric and features three distinct zones of compression. These compression zones provide officers with added strength and protection in the chest, abdomen and back. The saddle-shoulder construction offers greater range of motion and an underarm mesh panel allows moisture to vent and evaporate easily. The Muscle Mapping® shirt has flat-lock seams to reduce friction and prevent chafing. The 5.11 Muscle Mapping® Shirt is designed to wear under body armor but is also great for casual and workout wear. Made of 88% Tactel® nylon, 7% nylon and 5% spandex, the Muscle Mapping® Shirt is designed to last. 5.11 Tactical Series is proud to provide you with quality, durability, innovation and value in our Muscle Mapping® Shirt.

Great Shirt All Around
By A E

Comments about 5.11 Tactical Muscle Mapping Shirt:
Several reviewers have mentioned that this shirt discolors and is hard to wash. At first, this happened to me. I found an excellent solution to this by simply adding Oxi-Clean to the load, letting it soak for a while, and washing it separately from colors -- another words: All White Load. All of my shirts, which are over three years old, look like new.

Best Compression Shirt on the Market
By Toyfulskerl

About Me Hunter, Martial artist, Outdoor Enthusiast
This might very well be the best compression shirt on the market. The 3 different 'zones' do an excellent job of making the shirt breathable, comfortable, and stable on the body. The knit portion of the torso keeps the shirt from riding up and bunching uncomfortably under armour. The shirt is also extra long which helps immensely. The weave on the patches under the arms prevent any sweat buildup and cause the sweat to evaporate as quickly as you put it out. The whole shirt does a fantastic job of wicking the sweat away, for that matter. I also like that the shirt isn't as 'shiny' as are many of the other compression shirts on the market.I frequently wear this shirt alone when I'm engaged in physical activity, but it really shines when it's worn as a base layer under an equipment vest. It keeps me dry and cool and is impressively comfortable. It's an essential part of my gear and I recommend it highly. The cost of the shirt is high, and it's easy to be tempted by cheaper compression shirts. However, I can say after trying all the other shirts, the 5.11 Muscle Mapping Shirt has no equal.

Great Shirt [...]

I wear this product in lieu of a regular undershirt - both in business wear and casual wear. Think of it as the best undershirt you'll ever own.

Best shirt, by far
By Fla Trooper

About Me Police Officer
This is the best shirt I have ever worn under a vest. Other shirts have bunched up after being worn during a shift or have not allowed the heat and moisture to escape. I am a trooper in Florida where it gets very humid and this shirt is great. Yes, your body stays wet but the shirt is somehow able to hold in the moisture vs your body getting drenched. It also keeps your body feeling tight because of the three zones of compression.

Great for any active wear
By Bushman Tony
from San Diego, CA
Great as a single shirt on a hot day, but dirt tends to grab on and never let go. Very satisfied with performance, better grip on body in the right places than similar shirts, rarely slips or rides up and wicks away sweat away very well. I've worn this with casual wear as an light insulator, works fairly well. I would seriously consider buying more of these, but I'm hopeful a holster model will come out soon.
