I have been looking for work boots since i've been in the military thats inexpensive but also comfortable. Having being in a couple of units that have purchased Belleville (Heavy/bulky, Nike Boots (expensive/not comfy AT ALL) or Rockys(super expensive, yet comfortable) I am now in a unit that doesn't and after all these years in (12yrs) will be my very first time buying boots for myself and i'd be damned if i will spend close to $200 on a pair of boots that always outside in the worst conditions. Any who, I came across the 5.11 brand and behold! They have a pair of Sage boots for $50! Man i jumped on these fast!!! And they even zip! Everything i want in a boot. The color is right and and matches perfectly with my ABU's. They are roomy, has a wide toe box and fit w/o gaps of bending or rubbing at the ankles. Love the zip. Oh, did i state that already. My only regret is that i wish i would have purchased 2! Please come back in stock! Please. I have 8 years left and need to look sharp throughout those years lol
Good boot, but not as the photos depict. This is a green boot. Not military green, just green.
Outstanding Product. Use to go with the Converse Mil boot with runner cushion until Reebok took it over and ruined it. Found out 5.11 sells the sage green boot for duty uniform. Comfortable side zip boot. Will stick with 5.11. When will they make a tactical combat eye patch?
I was very impressed with this boot out of the box. I wore it all day the first time I put them on. Very comfortable and feet never got tired or sore from them being new.
A few years back, I did a job at McChord AFB and admired Sgt. Wesley's green boots. He envied my black 5.11 ATAK boots, couldn't get them in the green he was required to wear.
I was looking to get another pair and saw that 5.11 now has sage green. No hesitation. The color is a very subtle green with almost silvery green side panels. Very cool. These are my new "good" boots for what passes as dress for me anymore.
From my experience with the suede coyote boot, I knew they would not be as waterresistant as the smooth leather and are prone to water spotting (embarrassing when you leave a restroom), so I purchased and applied a silicone base boot protector. They shed water just fine, keep their appearance even in the Washington rain. They may have darkened just a shade, but look good.
Something else I do with all my 5.11 boots is replace the stock insole with a high quality insole that molds to my foot. Recommended to me by a podiatrist, this keeps the boots comfortable throughout their useable life, makes my back and feet much happier. Too many years of inexpensive, issue footwear and I wish I'd bought good shoes and insoles years ago. Actually, the insoles were Sgt. Wesley's suggestion originally. Now we can both have the best of both world's - sage green in a 5.11 boot.
I could be happier with these boots! I now own three pairs, I use them for all outdoor duties and just because they are that comfortable.I have shoes that weigh more then these boots. No need to break them in when you have good socks. Try 5.11 duty socks.
The boots are great, well made, comfortable right out of the box. My only issue is that the are a bit too green in color. The pic on the website did
not appear as green. reasons for this are too many to isolate. very happy with the product overall!
Very comfortable utility uniform boots!

Great online purchase with fast shipping. No issues with ordering at all. Only problem was that I bought the wrong size (not a 5.11 problem!)
I bought a pair of 5.11 boots in the past and absolutely loved them so I would definitely recommend others purchase boots from 5.11 as well!
