Amazing Buy

I purchased these sunglasses to replace a Pair of Oakley sunglasses that i wasn't happy with at all. Upon opening the box i was impressed.Getting a case and cleaning microfiber was a huge plus. I wear them everyday driving a truck and working in a warehouse environment. They fit just right, are lightweight, and keep the sun out but aren't so dark that its difficult to see. I accidentally left them in the case on my chair at home rushing out for work and my dog got to them. After someone in the house coming across them the case was torn apart and needs to be replaced but the sunglasses themselves that were in his mouth were still perfect. No scratches, frames not broken, nothing wrong at all. I have to say these are the best sunglasses i have ever owned and could never buy anything else. I would absolutely recommend these to ANYONE.

Best Tactical Glasses

I am retired and I purchased the same pair for extensive outdoor and "fun house" tactical training with pistol and Uzi a year ago. Easy swap out lenses for low light. I purchased this set for my wife, begining her training nest month. Absolutely excellent! Great hard shell case as well.

Best sunglasses I've ever owned

These sunglases are great. I've had mine for about a half year now, and they're still going strong. I have them with me every day, along with the extra lenses they come with. They've never failed me before, and even after a few falls they still look brand new.

A Gamble that paid off...

I bought these online after reading lots of good reviews, but without trying them on. Once delivered, I was initially surprised by just how aggressively styled these glasses are – They are larger, wider and sit higher on the face than I expected and took some getting used to, particularly compared to the curved shape of the Oakley Straight Jackets they replaced.

However, the general quality of the 5.11 glasses is clear, they feel very tough all over and resist scratches to the lenses much better than my previous Oakleys did. They are comfortable to wear and the ease of lens change is remarkable – Very supple around the nose piece to allow the lens to slip out when required, but I do not think it can be 'overworked' to leave them loose in the future. Each colour set perform excellently at their tasks.

Product received four stars as there were VERY minor finish issues around the temple 5.11 logo on one side, and a spot of white paint on an outside stem from the interior manufacturer marking (Couldn't pick it off, so filled it in will a Sharpie!). Also, I am disappointed that a Polarised lens set is not available for the CAVU Half Frame, in addition to the other replacement colours.

Overall, although it took time to decide whether I did actually like the look and feel of these glasses when on the face, I am now very happy and highly recommend them.

This is my main pair of sunglasses. I wear them in the car and on the lake. I bought a second pair to use with the clear lens when I work on my car.

Awesome Shades better than oaklys

These glasses are great; i can shoot and look good doing it. i have tried so many different pairs of sunglasses and all were flimsy peices of junk. oaklys cost more and are more fragile for even the most simple of desighns. i needed glasses that can go to hell and back and these were it!

Suprise for me...

I needed sunglases for shooting but my old 5.11 Hawk were scratched(after daily wearing for 2-3 years). Because no longer produced, but I wanted half frame sunglasses I bought 5.11 CAVU Half frame. But I am not satisfied because after 1 weeek usage on shooting ranch I have scratches on yelow and clear lenses, and nose piece rubber crumbles. These sunglasses are not as resistant as 5.11 Hawk definitely. It is a pity!

Not making the cut

Good full frontal protection. Curved frame to allow venting. Orange lens work very well in low light and indoor conditions.

Curved frame has too much gap on top. Brass can get through.
Smoke lens is too dark. Ok for close up targets, but at 300+ hard to gain sight alignment /sight picture with M4 iron sights.
Frame and lens too big for my face, cool factor goes way down.
I would stay with my other brand of glasses.
