If you are like me and the kinda guy who likes slimmer leg closing, this is the jean for you. With just the right amount of stretch and pockets in just the right places, these jeans are meant to last with full functionality.
Normal "slim" jeans would not accommodate my larger thighs however 5.11 nailed it. and the leg opening is just enough to go over boots if you choose to go that route.
I've been wearing the Defender-flex slim pant, same pair, for the last year and they've held up very, very well. I was worried that the jean version would fit differently or be of a reduced quality, but nope, super happy as soon as I put them on. The dye is rich and has tactical accenting and the stitching feels strong. The cut is definitely slim, not tight, but the mid-weight fabric is comfortable and soft and stretches enough to allow a full crouch. Modern-cut tactical jean.
I used to only wear Levi’s 514 straight. These fit great, and the mag pocket makes it incredible. If you have lean legs, get the slim. Trust me.
Bit pricy but by far best pair of jeans I have ever owned. Durability and flexiblity and quality are unmatched. I can’t not wait for more colors to come out.
This is the almost perfect pair of active jeans with only one flaw being (for lack of a better term) no kick-plate at bottom rear of jeans.
Stretch is perfect for mobility and movement and Dark Wash Indigo is a perfect tone w/ whiskering.
Maybe a double-layer at front pockets for knife-carry then this would be a perfect Greyman Tac-Jeans.
About size - I'm 193 pounds / 87.5 kilos, 5,9 ft/ 180cm, physical waist size is 35 inches / 89 cm but jeans size is 32/32 and it fitted perfect for me. I'm absolutely sure necessery to try it on before buying.
After reviews reading I'm was awaiting not a slim pants but "almost slim". Jeans a little more slimmest then straight jeans and tightly cover a calf only.
Good raw material quality, very good executing, two additional pockets it is a absolutely perfect idea and two bealt loop on a back instead one too. I like these jeans but I think slim model more for summer, for winter I would like to buy stright defender model.
I have been wearing the same pair of the slim fit, indigo wash for the last 3 months. One of the first things I tried in these was pistols (one leg squat) something I have never even thought to try in other jeans. I carry appendix in these with no problem. Crawl around on the floor playing with the kids, and hiking around the woods along with everything else that comes with daily life in the mountains. My wife often asks me in the evening when I'm going to put on my sweatpants and as ridiculous as it sounds I honestly prefer these jeans over sweats. While most reviews here note negatively that the jeans shed indigo I personally love this. I'm coming from a pair of raw denim that is also designed to do that so that it wears into the use you put it through. These are definitely starting to show character and I love that. I'm probably going to by another pair just in case they ever stop dyeing them this way.
These pants are great quality but they are by no means a slim fit. The pair I have are more of a loose fit through the thigh and seat area with a lot of extra material compared to other slim fit jeans I wear. I also have the strait fit version of these and the only difference I can see between the two is the leg opening on these is a little narrower than the strait fit. The materials and features of this jean are great, I just wish it was a true slim fit and wasn't so baggy.
I've been around the brand long enough to have had several pair of the old Tactical Jeans. Which. Were. Terrible.
These are light, super flexible, well patterned, comfortable and best of all subtle. Not sure where the complaints come from about the pocket depth. They're about the same depth as every other brand of jeans I've worn. It's also nice to have a 'coin' pocket that will fit... something. Long gone are the days where a nickel will buy you a steak and kidney pie, a cup of coffee, a slice of cheesecake and a newsreel... with enough change left over to ride the trolley from Battery Park to the polo grounds.
I'm stuck with the Dark Wash model because the Indigo has tone on tone stitching which looks odd. Levis has clearly indoctrinated me to think not having yellow stitching is weird.
Yes, the dye runs. Read the washing instructions. Wash with vinegar before wearing them to set the colour. It is annoying, but it has the warning tag on there...
Everything about these jeans are perfect... as long as you get the right size. I normally wear a 34/34, but I got a 32/32 and they fit exactly like my other slim jeans. Awesome pockets and conceivability, durable, and EXTREMELY comfortable.
