5.11 Tactical Knives Legal Notice

The sale, possession, transportation, and use of knives are subject to a wide variety of local, state, federal, and international laws. To do so, we recommend that you contact your local law enforcement agencies.

By placing your order with us, you are representing to us and agreeing that you will comply with all applicable laws and that you are of legal age and, furthermore, you agree to hold us harmless from your failure to comply with these requirements. We do not and will not sell knives to minors.

Blood-Borne Pathogen Resistant Outwear

If indicated, an independent laboratory has tested this product and has found that the materials provide passing results when tested in accordance with ASTM F 1671, Standard Test Method for Resistance of Materials Used in Protective Clothing to Penetration by Blood-Borne Pathogens. It is important to note, however, that, even though a garment materials may satisfy the standards of ASTM F 1671, it might not provide an adequate barrier to viruses in all conditions and our products will not protect the wearer from all blood-borne pathogens and viruses under all conditions.

All end users will need to assess the specific hazards in their workplace in order to determine the appropriate types and levels of personal protective clothing and equipment that they might need.

To maintain proper performance, 5.11 products must be maintained in accordance with the care instructions on the product label.

NFPA-Certified Products

End users of NFPA-certified products or their organizations must have the background necessary to select correct clothing for the job, and use it safely. If they do not, expert assistance should be enlisted. All protective clothing and equipment selections must be based on a thorough hazard and risk assessment. Fire service personnel should be familiar with the latest edition of NFPA 1500, Standard on Fire Department Occupational Safety and Health Program, which contains guidelines for conducting a hazard and risk assessment. The User Information Guide that accompanies each NFPA-certified product contains instructions that must be followed with regard to the care and use of such product, and it also warns of potential risks of serious injury and death and provides suggestions to reduce such risks. No garments, however, can insure against all serious injuries or death. It is each end user's responsibility to be familiar with the User Information Guide and to use each garment in accordance with its instructions.
