I use this case in all three colors for a phone holster. Best I have found. Very secure even in extreme activity. Oldest is three years old and showing wear. Ordering another. Works well for 20 round pmags, that is what I use to stretch a new case to make it easier to use.
I would have preferred a purpose built case for larger smart phones. However, this size seems to be the closest for the Samsung Galaxy SIII. The elastic is a little too tight, but it works. I may eventually clip the elastic if it proves too much hastle.
I use this as a Iphone 5 case on my responder 24 pack. My use is obviously non-traditional but none the less this pouch keeps my Iphone 5 safe and secure on my pack. Like all 5.11, it's rugged and durable. Great for the outdoors.
A great additon to field gear. We needed a durable case for a smartphone that's already mounted in an industrial drop-resistant case. This fits it near perfect as a field holster. Certainly far better than any plastic clip-on provided with the phone.
I have been using this pouch for about a year now, carrying my DEF-TECH 25 flash bang inside. After only a years time, the bottom of the pouch tore. I had to use Duct-tape to fix the pouch and keep my flash bang from falling out. There are at least 3 other guys on my team, who have had the same issue with this pouch.
This pouch may last longer carrying other flash bangs, or other items. However, use caution if carrying a DEF-TECH 25 device.
I use this pouch to carry a McMurdo personal locator beacon (PLB) on my body armor while on marine patrol. The dimensions of the pouch are a perfect fit. I've also used the pouch to carry a handheld GPS while its switched on with no interferance to recording my track. Great piece of gear that sees daily use & is holding up well.
I do not use Flash Bangs, but this pouch is the perfect size for a "Odd Size" whisper radio.
I'm not in law enforcement or military (but big thanks to those who are!). I use this to carry my laser temperature reading gun out in the field when looking for snakes and lizards. (insert joke here). My retailer only had it in black so I will be ordering a desert tan one with my next paycheck.
I purchased a number of these when they were under $10 at my local supplier. They work perfectly for 20rnd Pmags! Even with the Ranger floorplates there is no issue with closure.
Fits 2 5.56 magazines or 1 7.62 magazine. Same dimensions as the 5.11 magazine pouch but 1 inch shorter.
