I where these in combination with the class b twill uniform as a security guard. I find myself hardly using the cargo pockets on the pants just for small items. However, the side pockets on the class a pants will NOT fit a pair of gloves. The side pockets are so small they hardly fit anything at all. Moreover, I like the waistband helps keep my shirt tucked in but I find it uncomfortable. As far as sizing goes, the waist fits me fine but the length seems too baggy after having them fitted. On the good side, I like how the back pockets are deep enough to put a notebook in them. Overall, I would rather use these pants for JUST for the dressing occasions. If you are looking for uniform pants, for a patrol officer, I would strongly recommend class b.
I really like the pants. The only change I would make is reducing the bulk at the waist. I had to go one size up on my pants belt and duty belt because of the bulk. I like the rubberized inner waist line to keep the shirt tucked in. I do not need the expandable waist as this is what I believe adds the extra bulk. I would like at least an option that does not include this.
The color does not fade and they wash well. The sizing on these pants is very inconsistant. We ordered several pairs of the same size and the fit was very different on each of them. Also they would be really great with a bit of stretch in the fabric.
