Worn in light rain twice so far and beaded water off nicely, stayed bone dry underneath. Good to wear over fleece if it's cool. Got a Medium and it fits well at 5'11 / 175. Got green for trail running and hiking and only complaint is that the mic loops are black. Would be better if they blended in. Plan to get one in black to use for everyday wear, as it's a great light jacket overall.
Brought it 7 years ago, good function with low profile. Started having little rips in the sleeves bungee and zipper not functioning everytime, but it's still my everyday jacket at work in the winter.
Overall outstanding product, it would be nice to have interior pockets and Velcro or button cuffs.
I really like the jacket for work and day hikes. I have several of them in Black only. They pack well in a day pack and store well in my cubby at work. I would like to see a radio pouch access zipper on both sides of the jacket. Other than that small detail, I love this jacket!!
This jacket was embroider with our United States Marshal Service emblem and looks awesome.Since this particular jacket comes in blue and black Deputies had a choice which both look great. Best light jacket ever worn.
This jacket paid for itself in one day. It's super light weight and the packable feature gives it great versatility plus it doubles as a pillow when packed into itself. Makes a great EDC layering option to throw in a back pack or back seat of your car. Plus it sheds water which is another great feature as I can't count how many times I have clocked in at work with the sun shining and ended the shift to unforecast rain and a long walk to the back of the parking lot. Also great concealment garment for CHL carriers or UC officers. This isn't really a con just a note: this jacket runs a little big on the size so even if your wearing it on top of armor or a pullover or something, you don't need to order a size larger than your normal size.
Perfect, just what i need in the texas winters and from a dependable brand.
I have purchased two of the jackets. One for off duty wear and one that is a size up to wear over my body armour while on duty. When packed up it fits nicely into my patrol bag in case the weather turns and I want protection from the elements but not have to wear my heavier duty jacket. The material is very quiet when moving and the jacket does not interfere with my sidearm , spare magazines , radio etc.
I keep it in the Moab 6, and is perfect when climate changes. It's durable and warm for how thin it is. Good against light rain and breaks wind well.
I teach school in Texas where it can be 40 degrees in the morning and 80 by the end of the day. This weather uncertainty makes a packable windbreaker a welcome addition to my wardrobe.
It looks great over a t-shirt or with a dress shirt and necktie.
The jacket has interior pockets, which are great for holding light documents. The chest pocket can hold a notepad. The mic clips also work great for holding one's work ID.
The material is also mildly water repellent. It can do drizzle, but not driving rain.
My one complaint is that it does not have dedicated pen pockets. Putting a full-sized pen in the chest pocket has stuck me a few times. I've had to store a telescoping pen sideways.
Beyond that it's a great product.
