I bought these shoes because I was travelling for a job and I needed something that I could wear with jeans or khakis and be on my feet all day. I swear by 5.11 gear and thought I would try their shoes.
I read the reviews and read to size up a half so I ordered a 10 instead of my normal 9.5. The 10's came out of the box and I knew there was no way they would fit. I could not even get my feet in the shoe - crazy. I liked the look and the construction so I called 5.11's awesome customer service and a pair of 11's was on the way. I was really concerned that they would be too big. They fit perfect.
These are great shoes. Super comfortable and supportive. Exactly what I needed for my work trip. I am considering buying another pair in brown. I gave them 4 stars due to the sizing. Fix the sizing and these are definitely a 5.
I was wearing a different brand's shoe that was black and while it went well with my jeans it clashed with my daily wear of khakis. I ended up ordering these for a blend of professionalism but can still run and be mobile when I have to. Unlike what others have stated, I wear an 11.5 shoe and ordered these in 11.5; they fit perfectly. Highly recommended for the low cost, style and mobility.
go 1/2 size bigger
I prefer a lower profile shoe and need good support with a grippy sole. I have a high arch so shoe fitment for me has to be a real time experience. Compared to the reviewer before me, I ended up with a shoe 1.5 size larger than my street shoes, 8.5 instead of a 7. I knocked off a star because this size variance makes online shopping these shoes tricky.
The shoes seem to be put together well but I just bought them so time will tell on their wearability. I'm not intending them for service duty so I'm hoping they'll hang in with me for my daily drill. They have the street feel of my Vans slipons with better support and a tactical sole.
Shout out to the Commerce crew...Semper Paratus!
My feet are very particular, so I'm not always expecting the greatest experience when trying a new shoe style. Fortunately, my feet took quite well to this shoe without any complaints after two months. I ordered the Distressed Brown, and it really has a great look for both the office or casual wear. They feel solid and well made. The only caveat is that they run 1/2 size too small. I have never worn a 10 1/2 in a shoe, but I do now. Whatever works!
