Nice shirt, get fit and nice length (even for fat guys like myself). Only issue is the sleeves don't breathe therefore sweat pours down your arms. I would buy again regardless.
I know this is intended to be a tactical shirt, but the same reasons that make it good for that use make it great for paddling. It fits over your PDF and allows a day of paddling with no chafing. The ripstop sleeves are great, as are the pockets, which are large enough for an iPhone 6 in its waterpoof case. These sleeves will not snag when portaging through the underbrush. Even the Velcro on the sleeves is useful to me. As a paddling instructor, I can put my instructor patch on the sleeve when teaching, but not have to dedicate a shirt for that purpose. You generally wear one shirt for the entirety of of a weeklong trip to the boundary waters. This would be my shirt.
If I'm going to pay $60 for a shirt then it needs to last more than 2 months. I bought this shirt back in March and it's already got holes from where my vest has rubbed through on the right side. I bought a similar shirt by a different company and have had no trouble with it and not even the beginning of any holes like the 5.11 shirt has
We use these shirts for certain details and get nothing but complements on these shirt. My biggest fear was that people would see them as "too aggressive" but its actually the total opposite.
I field tested this shirt with the Stryke pants. What a nice shirt and so much more comfortable when wearing the external vest. Just a word about size. It is form fitting. I generally wear a medium size shirt but in this I took a large.
THIS IS A MUST HAVE if you use the 5.11 vest breaths and makes life better no neck rubbing from vest.. this shirt is amazing!!!
I used it on training on the range and it's great.
When things comes to dynamic exercises you'll appreciate the breathability of the shirt.
Easy to clean.
love it... very comfortable.
I wear these shirts everyday for work.(full time SWAT)
My biggest complaint is lack of pocket usability.
Yes, the pockets are there on the sleeves, but police patches tend to be much bigger than most military patches, therefore causing the patch to completely cover the pocket openings, rendering them useless.
A side zipper or velcro slash opening on the pockets would be ideal.
I use it almost every day, I love the way it feels. The only thing I think this product is lacking of is the fact that it does not have pen pockets on the sleeve. Other than that this was a great purchase. I'm very happy and pleased with it.
