Just got these boots in today. I really like them they are comfortable even b4 break in. They are a good value boot and Got here very quick. 5.11 even threw in a pair of free sock. Although they were ankle sock and I don't wanna know the Animal that wears ankle socks in 8" combat boots. Very pleased with 5.11 Like Always.

you really need to order a half size larger because this is a pro fit boot, when I called in to exchange I found out I'm 15 minutes away from a 511 distribution center. the employees are absolutely fantastic and very easy to work with. these boots are the most comfortable I've ever owned I've worn them all day in 100 plus degree weather and they stayed cool and comfortable.511 hit a home run with these.

Very good right out of the box

I tried the boots on for fit and then took them up to Washington state and immediately wore them on my climb of Mt Saint Helens with no break-in. They worked great and kept my heal in so well that I thought I might end-up with a blister but did not. My socks were standard Puma athletic white socks you can get anywhere. It was 85 degrees for most of the hike and I couldn't be more pleased.

Sizing is off

I own four pairs of 5.11 boots of varying type. All those boots are the same size and fit perfectly. I ordered these a half-size larger than all the rest and they were still too small to get my feet into unlaced. Don't go by other 5.11 boot sizes when ordering.

Absolutely Amazing Pair Of Boots

These boots, have been through hell and back.
New England: Cold and Wet Winters
NC, KY, and AZ: Dry, Hot, and repulsive heat
GA: Heat and Georgia Clay
Afghanistan twice

3 years of use and I just retired them this year. Only because the sole started to detach itself from the boot.
Amazing Pair of Boots for any adventure or work environment!!! <3

I've had these for a while now, and as someone that is involved in a wide variety of activities that test these boots. I can proudly say that if I had to rely on these for the rest of my life, I'd do so proudly and confidently.

Good Choice

I've been a long time customer and fan of 5.11 footwear, I purchased these boots before deploying to Afghanistan and i couldn't have made a better choice. These boots are excellent for patrols going through rough areas. They provide excellent support and comfort for extended operations and long hours in the field. Highly recommended.

I would buy these again

I wear these bad boys about 3 days a week for about 6 months now, and the materials are falling apart. The material that meets the toe area has ripped right before the stitching.

Update

Just to update my earlier review, I've had the boots for since octoberish of last year and Is still love them. The only issues are as follows, the sole has received few nicks and chunks out of it. The lacing system still has issues but by skipping the outer eyelet on the middle are and using the inner one you can lock your heel in with out having to cut off blood to your feet. One of the outer eyelets has also poped out and they are according to my local shoe hospital Impossible to fix. The nylon on the out side of both boots has started to tear along the seam with the helcore. The sole has started to peel in a few places mostly around the front shock absorber things. The helcore has cracked in a few places and is peeling in a few places. The liner of the boots has developed a hole around the seam in the heel cup. The laces broke but they were a pain to untie and way so they were replaceced with 5.11's paracord laces which work fine in place of the originals. The boots are still pretty solid though the sole has the nicks and such it hasn't worn other wise much more than the light stippling pattern being gone. The insoles are great no need to replace those. I still love them and now with the skyweight boots there is a version to wear with my uniform! Nice job 5.11
