Sleeves fit well, many coats are too short.
I use this for ccw and it doesn't scream tactical or police. Zippered concealed ID panels a big plus. Looks like your basic hipster street wear. Roomy enough, especially when I have to wear armor underneath.
I've owned this jacket for a little over two years. Awesome lightweight jacket. Perfect for any season in Southern California. I may have had a defunct zipper for the right front panel. It doesn't scream "tacticool". Great to throw on anytime and has plenty of pockets for gear.
The collar should be a little longer.
I use this jacket for about everything i actually bought two,I wear one for training and work and the other for duty purposes. They both have been through hell and still hold up great.I bought one with velcro id panels and the other with zippers,I recommend getting the velcro ones, the one with zippers seem hard and feel like the zipper might break.Otherwise this is a great jacket for damp drizzling days around high 40's as well as much warmer dry days.It breathes well and keeps you dry.Mine have been in the dirt, mud, puddles, and rained on and are still good as new.
Nice lightweight jacket, provides warmth on cold (not winter) days. Issue I have, my jacket and others on my department have had, is that the elastic in the sleeves' cuff, and the bottom sides of the jacket, at the waist, wore out. The sleeves will drop over you hands when arms are down to sides. My department replaced it, but, I think this is a problem. If I had to pay my own money for the jacket, I would look for a jacket that would last longer.
This jacket seems to be more durable than the other 5.11 jackets I have owned. I would buy another one.
I have used the jacket almost daily for three years. In operations, training and off duty. Works well even in moderately cold weather with a fleece jacket underneath.
Only problem so far; the the stiching on the velcro tab on one of the document pockets is coming loose.
I used this jacket for approx.3 years and Had to buy a new one do to the fact my original one was completely shot.
However this is where the problems started I have been expierencing multiple problems with 5.11's QC lately and this is pushing to me finding another brand.
I have had my new Response Jacket for approx. 3-4 months and I have already had the seams Blowout in high stress areas and this was a extreme dissapointment.
I also had my 5.11 XPRT's Break on me about 3 weeks ago and all this is just adding up to me finding a new brand. If you manage to get one that actually passes QC standard you WILL LOVE THIS JACKET however if you manage to get some Piece of CRA. space P (seeing 5.11 wont let you put the last commonly used word int that abreviasion one like I did you will be extremely dissapointed. Hoever that being said the features and light weightness of this jacket is amazing.
a great casual jacket that can quickly become a "raid jacket."
I use this product for conceal carry. It is perfect for this mission.
