I have had this bag for years and use it daily.
I can carry an AR pistol in this pack and people do not give it a second look...while I do not use it for day to day CCW, I do use it for taking my AR pistol to the range. Love it and it does the job it was meant for.
The pack's internal storage is quite large and can hold my 13 inch laptop inside with no problems. Also has molle inside for pouches. Without anything inside it is very light.
Wear the charcoal/black pack with a black hoodie and it is very hard to spot from the front and behind. The pistol pouch can also be detached for a less tactical look (great if used for non-tactical purposes) and the straps are quite easy to adjust.
Also includes a belt backup for the pistol pouch which can be used separately. A two-in-one package!
my P.W.S. AR pistol fits in here perfectly, no one would ever know what I am carrying around. my son thought it was just another type bug out bag instead of a concealment bag for my AR pistol.
I am a private citizen who wanted to conceal carry with option of carrying work materials at the same time...this bag does it. Plus I can strip it down to just pistol fanny pack when I need to.
Over all the sling pack is a good covert bag. I use it to carrier my ar-15 pistol and exact magazines. The thing I would change on it is 1 make with more pocekt ,2 make it ambidextrous and 3 a little longer in high.
Fast delivery, very well packaged. Actually exceeded my expectations of quality, even for 511 products. Lots of good thought put into this one!!
I bought this product mainly for use while riding my motorcycle off-duty. I wanted to find a backpack that would offer me a comfortable way to carry items (clothes, laptop, etc.) while riding my motorcycle and being "out on the town" (i.e. to the gym and back, restaraunts, the mall, etc.). The single strap across my chest evenly distributes the weight of the pack across my body while riding my bike, and it remains secured to my body even at interstate speeds. However, one of the main reasons I bought this pack was to be able to find a safe, secure, and stealthy way of carrying a pistol off-duty while riding my motorcycle. The removable "fanny pack" on the front easily lets me carry a pocket knife, extra pistol magazine, and the pistol itself, and it held everything securely. I had it out in public the other day in a crowded store and no one gave me a second look! I guess it doesn't seem as odd looking for a motorcycle rider to be wearing a backpack as opposed to a person just walking around the mall with a backpack on...especially when carrying a helmet and wearing leathers, etc. The charcoal/black color combination is the most inconspicuous choice in my opinon. Kudos to 5.11 Tactical for making another excellent product!
This is the very first 5.11 pack I've ever purchased. It fit my concealed carry needs and allowed the versatility to use it as a computer bag, a baby bag, or a SMG/AR pistol/AK pistol hide.
This needs to be fully ambidextrous like the new Triab to make it an even better homerun. I demo this bag in CCW classes because the product sells itself.
