I bought this watch NEW for myself for christmas 2014 a few days later it was completely dead and had been for several hours. I noticed as I was showing it off to to a few people. I slapped it a couple times with my hand and it started again. The distributor I got it from stop carrying the 5.11 brand shortly after that but for a year now it starts and stops whenver it feels like. Hopefully I get the chance to send it back. It sounds like I just got a dud but it's been frustrating.
Date window is tilted forty five degrees below horizontal. Easy to read if you are right handed and wear watch on your left wrist. But if you wear a watch on your RIGHT wrist, then you are basically looking at the date upside down, and are constantly reminded of being a lefty in world where most products are designed for right-handed people.
Very strong tactical flashlight, compact enough for carrying in pockets, but large enough to be used as a weapon (last resort!). For the lighting itself, it has a very bright beam on high and really good features. Strap is not for me, but can see how some would use it (breakable lanyard). Really happy with the clip, can be attached to pockets, shirts and smaller belts for waist-carry. Overall, it's solid value for money.
This watch is one of the best things I've ever purchased from 5.11
Its great for everyday wear weather it be with a suit or just jeans.
I have one complaint about it though, if your going to wear it everyday I suggest you wash it ever so often, other wise a lot of dirt will build up underneath and may cause a rash.
The watch keeps excellent time. I usually do not like watches that don't have a metal band. Although, the Sentinel's band is very comfortable.
This is not a Tactical grade watch which is not a bad thing unless you were expecting a ruggedized timepiece and for the price I was. The included band is by far the most comfortable I've ever worn. I only wonder if replacements are available? For light duty use this watch looks good, is comfortable and appears to be of good quality.
Great watch. Bought in on a whim because the PX had only one in stock. Have not been sorry. For a large watch it is fairly light and wears good.
i ride bmx and am outside person everyday i love this watch iv put it through a few beatings and not yet has the watch faild me no scatches nothing. i barly take this watch off i shower with it on and i scooba dive with this watch it has held up nicely in water and hot humid conditions. although its a good nice watch i with that it would come with different watch bands only for the fact that my skin will sometimes have a reaction to the silicon band witch is a down part.
Absolutely beautiful. This watch is stunning right out of the box. I needed a watch for casual events but one that could also hold up to my fast paced life style. From going to the movies with my date to responding to fires under my turnout gear and everything in between this watch can handle it all. I go from 0-60 in seconds and this watch never misses a beat. Great quality like all 5.11 products. It's classy and practical with many features like the bevel which helps me keep track of how long I've been in the water for winter ice rescue ops to summer swift water rescue ops. Very satisfied.
This watch has accompanied me through everything: daily routine patrol field training, defensive tactics and even 12 hour outdoor range days. It has survived everything thus far. Not to say the watch has been mistreated, but it has certainly taken a beating. After approximately 2 years of service this watch has minor scratches on the metal case and bezel and one hairline scratch on the watch face that is unnoticeable unless caught in a certain light. Because the watch face is set below the metal bezel the face itself is protected and rarely comes in contact with anything you might accidentally bang it into.
I recommend this product because of its durability and because it simply is a handsome looking watch. My only complaint is that the luminescence on the hands fades quickly making the watch unreadable at nighttime (Having to utilize my flashlight to charge the glow), I would prefer tritium tubes similar to a Luminox.
