Date window is tilted forty five degrees below horizontal. Easy to read if you are right handed and wear watch on your left wrist. But if you wear a watch on your RIGHT wrist, then you are basically looking at the date upside down, and are constantly reminded of being a lefty in world where most products are designed for right-handed people.
Very strong tactical flashlight, compact enough for carrying in pockets, but large enough to be used as a weapon (last resort!). For the lighting itself, it has a very bright beam on high and really good features. Strap is not for me, but can see how some would use it (breakable lanyard). Really happy with the clip, can be attached to pockets, shirts and smaller belts for waist-carry. Overall, it's solid value for money.
This watch is one of the best things I've ever purchased from 5.11
Its great for everyday wear weather it be with a suit or just jeans.
I have one complaint about it though, if your going to wear it everyday I suggest you wash it ever so often, other wise a lot of dirt will build up underneath and may cause a rash.
i ride bmx and am outside person everyday i love this watch iv put it through a few beatings and not yet has the watch faild me no scatches nothing. i barly take this watch off i shower with it on and i scooba dive with this watch it has held up nicely in water and hot humid conditions. although its a good nice watch i with that it would come with different watch bands only for the fact that my skin will sometimes have a reaction to the silicon band witch is a down part.
Great watch. Bought in on a whim because the PX had only one in stock. Have not been sorry. For a large watch it is fairly light and wears good.
This is not a Tactical grade watch which is not a bad thing unless you were expecting a ruggedized timepiece and for the price I was. The included band is by far the most comfortable I've ever worn. I only wonder if replacements are available? For light duty use this watch looks good, is comfortable and appears to be of good quality.
The watch keeps excellent time. I usually do not like watches that don't have a metal band. Although, the Sentinel's band is very comfortable.
I'm the type of person that when I buy something and I like it, I usually don't waiver from that. I love this watch so much and do not think that I will be buying any other watch in my lifetime now! I own the Gray/Granite color scheme and it looks great...functional, yet sharp, eye-catching, and stylish. I must note though that the watch is pretty big and bulky, but if you can get over that fact, I say go ahead and buy it. I found out about 5.11 Tactical from an old buddy of mine who was a retired cop of 34 years and he swore by 5.11 Tactical pants.
I love watches, and when I saw the 5.11 watch display at the uniform shop, I was liked a kid in a candy store. I ended up buying this watch, and now I'm thinking about throwing all my other ones away! I've had this watch for about 3 days and I absolutely love it. No doubt in my mind that I have bought "the" watch that I will use the rest of my life. It looks good when working patrol, at the gym, in the brush when hunting, and in a suit while in court. You can't go wrong with this purchase.
This watch has accompanied me through everything: daily routine patrol field training, defensive tactics and even 12 hour outdoor range days. It has survived everything thus far. Not to say the watch has been mistreated, but it has certainly taken a beating. After approximately 2 years of service this watch has minor scratches on the metal case and bezel and one hairline scratch on the watch face that is unnoticeable unless caught in a certain light. Because the watch face is set below the metal bezel the face itself is protected and rarely comes in contact with anything you might accidentally bang it into.
I recommend this product because of its durability and because it simply is a handsome looking watch. My only complaint is that the luminescence on the hands fades quickly making the watch unreadable at nighttime (Having to utilize my flashlight to charge the glow), I would prefer tritium tubes similar to a Luminox.
