Just like almost anything from 5.11, these shorts are great! Sizing is good and they are super comfy. Just enough pockets and the 11" shorts are just the right length. No complaints, great for on duty and off.
I have the pants, love them, wear them all the time. Ordered same size shorts, snug! I felt like I was putting on a pair of snug blue jeans. There's a mild tightness across the upper thighs and lower pelvic region making it a little difficult to pull items from the upper pockets. If not for the gusseted crotch, I think I would have ripped them the first time I squatted or took a knee. As for the 11" inseam, it feels good. Falls across my mid knee (6'2" height) and sitting the rise is normal, only 2-3". I wanted to give this 5 stars as everything is like the pants, but the snug feeling is a deviation from the comfort I have found in the pants. If I had to do it over again, I would have ordered up a size, but I could stand to lose a few lbs. so I'll just use them to help gauge my gym progress this summer.
I received these shorts in Tundra from my wife for Christmas 2015. I just started wearing them, May 2016. Great fit, nice color and useful pockets Prym snap at the waistband failed June 9, 2016. Poor quality control installing the snap. Be sure to keep your receipts for RMA, you will need them...
I love the design, fabric and fit. I'm 5'9" and ordered the 11" inseam. My pants inseam is 30". The shorts are tough enough to wear hiking or backpacking yet still nice enough to wear out on a date.
It states 11" inseam, but it isn't. All of my pairs fall short of that claim.
im not to impressed with these particular shorts! the length is good to go, but the crotch does not allow for flexibility. they are pretty abrasive on the skin! I will be contacting the sales department tomorrow and will be sending these back! these are literally the only substandard product I've bought from 5.11!
After a day of wearing the shorts, they are fairly uncomfortable. Yes, I tried them on first and they fit in the waist but the pockets and inseam are very snug...there's barely enough room to hold anything in the pocket without feeling very snug.
The material felt a bit rough on the skin also and I had washed them once before I wore them. If they were looser in the hips and had more room all around, they'd be great.
Very well made and comfortable. Glad I went with the 11" seam, not too short where it goes above my knees and not too long so it doesn't look "ghetto". Sure they're a little on the expensive side but they are worth every penny.
Shorts fit tighter than the Taclite Pro pants in the crotch, hips and thighs.
Very good shorts version of taclite pro pants. the 11" inseam covers most of your knees too so you don't look like a dork. I wear these under my turnout gear at the firehouse and on calls during the summertime. They last forever. Very durable.
