The sheaths are very nice, the retention is outrageous and I could only barely get the knife out. I needed to adjust the retention, it's a lot easier to pull both knives out. The finish of the knife could be better all of the edges are square instead of chamfered, like there supposed to be.
These are extremely nice Karambit's, my only complaint is they are not double edged like their supposed to be. They would be a lot easier to use and a lot more efficient if they were. The traditional Karambit's were double edged.
This knife is closer to the more traditional shapes of karambits. I have been using karambits for everything including duty work for 3-4 years now. This knife is probably going to replace my current edc karambit. It has a very nice design with a 2 inch blade and almost 90 degree forward sweep. Which I find provides a significantly greater amount of leverage and maneuverability. AUS 8 steel is my favorite steel for almost any knife so this was a huge plus for me.
There are two things about the knife that I do not like though. The buttons on the sheath of mine do not break loose without pulling extremely, hard. So hard that I thought maybe they weren't meant to pop off. Then when one finally did break loose I could not push the button back in without using a press. I like tight snaps but this is ridiculous. I may request a new sheath.
The knife itself has a blemish on it that was noticeable straight out of the box. Not really an issue but definitely an annoyance.
With such a traditional shape I really would have liked to see a double edged blade. It is a fixed tactical blade and I really think a double edge could have only been beneficial to the design.
Last I wish the ring was rounded instead of a square cut. In fact, the whole knife up until the blade is an unergonomic square cut that will dig into your hands. Definitely paracord wrap this knife for better grips and ergos.
Overall I like the shape, steel, and length so much that this is definitely a winner in my book. This knife has quickly become one of my favorites.
