The guys that have said to buy the smaller size and let the waistband stretch a bit, must be tall and always skip leg day... I'm 5'5" 175lbs, and a smaller size fits me like yoga pants... so if you're short and stocky, just buy your regular size.
Other than that, these pants seem great. Super thin fabric. Comfortable. May have just found my new uniform pants.
I really like these pants - fit is perfect for me. When it's too warm for jeans these are perfect weight.
To make it a great pant, 5:11 needs to slim it down in the legs. The legs are to baggy.
I think there could be a bit of stretch in the material also.
If you do these two things then it would be a great pant.
These almost checked all the boxes, but they are very baggy from the mid thigh down. Compared to Levi’s I would describe these as a relaxed/husky fit. Slim down the legs a bit and these would be perfect.
I like these pants a lot. Being in Texas makes the light weight, breathable feature very appealing. We'll see in December! I spend a lot of time sitting and they are snug. When I'm standing up, they are very mobile. I would suggest checking the fit seated if possible. Great pant for the price!
Love the feel and function of these. Cell phone pocket fits my Pixel XL. My only cripes with the pants is the inseam is to tight in the groin area and the bottom of the legs are more baggy than most. Regarding people saying they are way too light, go to any store and find a pair of polyester pants, these are the same if not a slightly thicker feel.
Perfect weight for office work or warm weather outside. The stretch factor is tight enough to feel secure but allows great freedom of movement.
Cloth weight is a bit lighter than most other 511 pants I've owned. I ripped my first pair on some sheet metal--given the conditions I don't think my other 511 pants would have ripped. However, I am back to buy a second pair.
Extremely comfortable for light use.
Loose where it should be and comfortable. Lightweight, breathable, great quality. Exactly what I've been looking for after extensive searching.
Guessing Nick might be a 'trim' person, with no need for a little extra room - a lot of us are no longer so lucky/dedicated. These are my favorite for office or other moderately casual wear. Lightweight, and enough room/flexibility to not feel strangled. I now have about 6 pairs of them in Navy & gray.
Just wish you would make some shorts in the same design, but in a reasonable 9" or less inseam - I hate 'clamdiggers'. ;-)
These pants are a perfect weight for warm summer days. They breathe well and don't scream "tactical" at all - very professional looking. My only complaint, and a first for 5.11 gear, is the fit. They are quite baggy - not loose, baggy. Seems like a product of the flexible waist, as the hips are the worst with what feels like an extra two inches of material all around. If 5.11 ditched the flexbible waist and tightened up the cut, they'd be perfect.
