I recently bought my first AR and have very limited experience with slings so I did some studying and decided this 2 point was the one for me based on the versatility, adjustability and functionality. I'm also a big guy and it's always a crap shoot to see if items will fit me so when I strung it up initially I weaved it through the top portion of my M&P stock and a quick detach ring on the front but just enough to secure it through the tri-glides. I’m happy to report there is plenty strap to comfortably fit my 4X torso and I actually need to snug it up a little bit. I couldn't be happier with it!
great sling, but needs a quick connector to break down weapon for cleaning
I bought this product to use in sport shooting. It was highly recommended to me and I had to try it for my self. It proved to be more than I expected. I am very happy with this product. I guess that the steel buckles and the ease of the adjustment controls were my biggest suprise.
Picture shows this sling being used on a fixed stock rifle, but when it arrived the instructions were only for collapsible stocks, and they said if I wanted to use it on a fixed stock I would have to buy the adapter separate. I went back to read the description, and there it was. Overall, nice and comfortable sling, but the picture makes it look like there is more padding, and by that I mean a longer section of padding, not thicker padding. I would have given this a 5 star if it came with the butt stock adapter.
This sling is great. It adjusts quick and easy for tactical sling use and then is easy to loosen for easy carry. Just added this one to my Saiga 12, for home defense.
I have used many single point slings in my career. After using this two point sling during a three day intensive tactical training I am sold. Three days of having a rifle slung while wearing an entry vest and other gear was made easier with this sling.
I bought this knowing how 5.11's outlook on quality is in their products. I had recently purchased my first AR, so a good sling to go along with it was common sense. I was kind of concerned since I got an MSAR which is a bullpup design rifle, but the sling don't get in the way at all and it helps me to stay steady and on target easier. Paper and metal targets beware now.
Thanks again 5.11 for another great product.
I use this product in all types, range shooting, tactical shooting indoors and out, great product wish i had something like this when i first got into shooting all together thank you 5.11 for making things simple and effective keep up the good work guys...
I have been using a padded tac sling for 34 months on patrol. I have found it to be a great sling. It is simple and effective. It is one of the most efective slings I have used. Ive used single point and three point slings before. For Patrol this is the most effective. Simple control, good quality, and ease of use making it functional. Another good product by 5.11.
Simple to use unlike a lot of other "tactical" slings. Easily adjusts, my only concern is the metal buckle scratching a gun - no big deal on a real fighting gun but maybe not a good choice for your safe queen.
