This is the first pair of 5.11 pants I have ever bought. The idea of a tactical yoga pant is a great one, the design (especially the seaming at the hip and knee) is flattering and including belt loops is a great idea. The material is tough, however, there is little stretch, almost like compression pants, and is causing the seams to rip after wearing only a handful of times. The fit is also awkward for me - loose in the waist but bunching in the crotch area, maybe as if the fit were too narrow, I have to keep pulling them up. I would agree that including pockets on a future design would be a nice addition.
I love these pants, but the are too short and need pockets, at least one or two for keys, cell phone. Please offer in long length, mine normal length seem like Capris...
I just purchased these in black. So far I love them. The fabric is thick enough and tight enough it makes me feel really good. I love the waist band which is thick and supportive but not overly noticeable. I know I could comfortably wear a gun with these wherever I go. Very happy with these and will purchase more in the future. I bought a medium and I usually wear a 8 in jeans. Im 5'4" and 145lbs with thick thighs and big butt. I would defiantly recommend them.
Very comfortable but not practical for move and shoot as there are no pockets. The waist band is wide, sturdy, and does not roll over. Im 5'8" 145 lbs, a medium fit well, but the waist is large. An interior drawstring to adjust the waist would be great. I like the pair I have but wouldn't buy another pair unless some changes are made to them.
These tights have a low rise THUS equating a low, snug ride... When belted and holstered out and you have to move fairly quickly you better be cinched up real tight...
Like the idea , appearance BUT don't like the ride below my real waist line... Had to adjust my holster reach too ... so ... sending them back ...
Love my hubby and he thought these would be a nice gift and fit ... bless his heart... Sorry honey ...
First I want to say that I have been waiting for yoga pants that are heavy duty and have belt loops! I was so excited to get a pair of these,
I do two different kinds of shootings, three gun and defensive shooting.
I have not worn them for three gun ,yet but I can say for rigorous defensive shooting they hold up incredibly well!
I really only have one negative thing to say ,and that is that there are no pockets. I would love to see a small hidden pocket on the inside for something like a pocket knife one on the left and right hip. I was looking at where the seams are and I also think hidden pockets over the butt like those on the Stryker pants would be amazing! Discrete but functional. I like the discreetness of the pants so I personally would not like pockets on the legs but I think that there are ways to incorporate pockets that are functional and discrete.
Other than the lack of pockets, these pants are wonderful!
I was shooting in temps in the 90s with high humidity and despite the fact that they are long, black pants, they did do a great job at keeping me cool! When they get sweaty they are hard to pull up but what pants aren't?
They are comfy and easy to move around in as I was rolling around on the ground and such.
We also did work with the gun where we clear it by tucking the sights behind our knees and shoving it forward, the pants held up through all the times I scrapped my sights across them so they are super durable!
Overall my only complaint is lack of pockets which really hindered my training, otherwise I would recommend them!
Thank you 5.11 for finally creating women friendly pants!
I'm a size 12 and 5'6" and I picked up a large and they fit really well (actually, a little big in the waist that was weird). And they do run short, even on me, but I like them that way.
But yoga pants... That are TACTICAL. How cool is that? AMAZING. And worth it! LOVE THEM.
I'm a size 00-0 in pants, so finding ANY tacticle attire is nearly impossible. I was beyond excited when 5.11 released a more feminine line. After placing my order however, I became skeptical that I would even actually like the pants. As all other 5.11 pants do not fit me, I assumed these would fall into that category as well. I have to say, I was wrong! I ordered an XS and they fit wonderfully! The material is thick, yet comfy. The range of motion is great, while the pants hold their shape. They are "figure flattering" unlike most other tactical women's pants, but do not squeeze or constrict. The added belt loops are wonderful, as the waist is just sightly too big.
Glad to find something not so manly, that caters to the short and skinny.
Keep up the good work, 5.11.
I got a medium and wear a size 6-8 in jeans. The fit is pretty good but I might try a small next time. The waist is strong enough to wear a holster (idk bout a full duty belt.) I would not wear these to the range because I don't think it's too appropriate and I would need a bunch of pockets. But THANK YOU 5.11 for stepping up the options for chicks. The quality is very good.
-Can we get some pockets? If you want us to shot with these pants we need cargo and back pockets.
-Can we move the 5.11 logo somewhere more discrete.
-Now how bout some dress pants with this type of holster friendly design for court :)
I just got a pair of the tundra and black Raven Range Tights (thank you husband), and I love em! I've had mixed results with other pairs of of 5.11 pants I own due to inconsistent sizing from pant to pant. In normal civilian pants, I'm usually a small or size 4/6 (Under Armour, Lululemon), but I'm usually an 8 (or a muffin topped 6) in other 5.11 pants.
I got a medium in these pants, and I am pleasantly surprised and happy! The wide waistband is rigid, supportive, and flattering for whatever lil stomach I have, and the fabric is nice and thick while being stretchy. I can't wait to wear them out. The tundra color is my favorite because it's a unique color, and the inside ankle stitching is a bright orange...reminiscent of a bomber jacket liner. Can't wait to take this out and field test it. In my opinion, it's true to size. If I had to pick, I would say that it runs a tad wee bit roomy (based on where the pants wrinkle and crease when I wear it) as opposed to being small.
