5.11 spells quality as always. The metal and steel on this little knife is top shelve. Knife feels tough and sturdy, I can tell it will last a long time. Product quality aside, be advised that it comes in a package straight out of a $5 dollar knife from Walmart. In fact, getting it out of the plastic unscathed will require careful work with scissors. I don't understand why they could not have simply shipped it in a padded box like most high end knives, including other 5.11's.
I received this knife as a gift. It has proven to be a durable knife with a comfortable and secure grip. The blade sharpens well and holds the edge fairly well depending on how one uses the knife.
The only downsides I have found with this knife is the curvature of the blade makes it difficult to sharpen if one is not an experienced blade sharpener. Also clip tends to come lose with use, but can be secured using the proper tools.
My wife got me this as a christmas gift, I was very impressed with the overall feel and weight of the knife. Feels strudy, can't wait to start using it.
Here at the Prospectors Depot we are brutal on pocket knives. This is the ultimate proving ground! Box opening, packing, breaking excess boxes down, etc
You do not even notice you have a pocket knife in your pocket because it is so light weight and compact. In my opinion this is the perfect knife for the buck!!! It also comes with a repair kit. That was a very cool touch!
great knife for the price
seems well made
Shipping was fast.
I am a landscaper I cut weed eater cord that is .10 mil thick small branches hose and belts It is compack enough to get inder mower and cut baldes free from things that get stuck
This is a great knife. I use it daily as a deputy sheriff. When sharp it cuts almost anything. It holds an edge very very well. I highly recommend this knife.
ever since ive got this knife ive been finding every excuse to pull it out and use it ! its very light but when you hold it in your hand it is comfortable perfect size and the blade on this thing is so thick at the spine i would expect a blade like that on a fixed blade or much bigger folder all in all a terrific knife durable and you wont be scared to abuse it a little it can take it no problem
I'm surprised that people haven't tried this knife. It is one lightweight but durable and tough knife. The spear point design is great and the blade shape is efficient for everyday cutting chores. The Aus8 blade holds and edge well. The black oxide coating holds very well and doesn't chip. I have been carrying this knife and using it for a while and I must say that the knife is a thing that should get more attention. There are jimpings on both the top of the knife (both on the blade and handle, and also there are jimpings on the bottom of the knife on the handle. The liner lock is solid although it would be better if it would become a framelock, with the other side of the handle made of FRN. There is no blade play. Maintenance of this knife is easy. Just a few strokes with a ceramic sharpener and the edge can be used again like a scalpel. The pivot point is easy to lubricate with just a drop of your preferred formula (I just spray WD-40). This blade is a great urban environment tool as well as an outdoor tool. This is a slicing and piercing tool. It is not meant for batoning and bush whacking. I highly recommend this knife. I will rate this knife with 5 stars for being the highest. As an EDC knife: ***** As an Urban Survival knife: ***** As a Wilderness Survival knife: *** Value: ***** Quality: ***** For a [$] knife, this is worth buying.
