Ratings and Reviews
This jacket is great... it's getting bad reviews because it isn't tactical enough... that's kinda dumb. It's got Velcro on the right shoulder. VELCRO! You can put your favorite tactical patch with your blood type on it and let everyone know just how freaking tactical you are. There's a pocket on the left shoulder big enough to keep your spare G19 mags in.
Seriously though, remember the old G.I. "Sleeper shirts?" That's what this is. Only WAAAAAAAAAY better.
I am 182lbs and 5'11" , A size M fits my body nicely but the sleeves are a bit short. Order a size up if you have long arms but the body would be very loose
The people who are givimg this negative reviews are looking, primarily, for tactical police gear. However, this item is perfect for civilian/off-duty houre when one would like others "on the job" to "covertly" know about them while simultaneously blending in with the community. This is perfect as an under-layer to the Sabre Jacket, and/or the Condor jackets as they dont have a liner. It is thinner than a sweatjacket/hoodie... So it can be worn during medium temperatures; before adding the jacket over it. With this and the Sabre jacket it is an ideal warmth to weight ratio... With enought pockets for the whole family! Only Con would be that the pockets dont hold much weight without showing thise items inside.
511 would have a homerun if they used less shiny material and got rid of the silly and tacky Velcro on the arms.
Was given as a gift and I have never given a bad review before but this product should not have a 511 label on it. Cheap material and it shines under minimal light making you a target in any environment. Sleeve cuffs are terrible. We sell 511 products and I am usually very impressed with their products but this one missed the mark.
I wear this hoodie on any cool or breezy day, it's very comfortable and works well with small compact concealed hip holster weapons, great styling
pass through pocket is too low and too small of an opening to conceal a shoulder holster which is what i bought it for you can conceal a reagular holster or crossdraw holster but you can do that with any jacket you should remove the pocket and make the chest zipper higher to allow use with a shoulder holster.
Right sleeve shows signs of wearing out after one week of use from velcro rubbing fabric causing picking
It is a nice jacket but the fabric feels cheap and is very shiny which makes it very unsuitable for "covert" use. If it was a normal fleece fabric i would keep it.
This is a good hoody to throw on every day, not to hot but will block most of the cold off you. All in all this is a good investment.
