DEVELOPING THE PANTS

When developing the 5.11 Stryke^® Pant, we wanted to create the best range of motion without tampering with the fit, so we invented a completely new method of weaving the polyester and cotton threads together, creating a mechanical stretch, the Flex-Tac^®.

A few years later, the Apex^® Pant was developed based on feedback from professional end-users. They were looking for a pant with all the features of a tactical cargo pant, but in a clean low profile design.

Both the Apex^® Pant and the 5.11 Stryke^® Pant are designed with 12 pockets in a regular straight fit and made from a Teflon^® finished, stain- and soil-resistant Flex-Tac^® 2-way mechanical stretch fabric for excellent range of motion and durability.
