I bought these boots because they are lightweight and are also CSA approved. Caution !! very hot to wear especially in direct sunlight and after 2 shifts in the rain NOT waterproof.
I took a chance on this boot never having heard of this company. I'm flat footed and spent a lot of time on my feet so foot comfort is important. They were true to size so if you wear an 11 tennis shoe order an 11 and that's what will fit and they synched up nicely out of the box and are getting better as they break in, I have put in many hours of overtime with them and they are really impressive. Definitely worth the gamble.
I had this boot for about 10 Years!, I worked ems fire, and police multi comfort boot and very reliable. The only thing i had done to the boots while i had them was resole them and inserts, they got to the point i had to toss them out but b4 i did ordered a pair of others. I sure will last also this long great product!!! WORTH THE COST!!!!!!!!
This boot is not rugged enough for running every day. Good for walking. Once I started running daily, the heel cup padding fell apart.
I got these boot because I thought that if it's tough enough for solders and police it should be good for a delivery driver. I drive 300 plus miles a day and may stop up to 70 times a day to walk up to houses, barns, apartments, and businesses. I work in all weather here in Illinois. I have never owned a pair of boots that have stayed water proof for 2 years and even after they have started falling apart.(See pictures) The soles are almost completely flat. And they have no traction anymore but are somehow still comfortable! I wear these boots 6-7 days a week all year long! They are WELL used and I will be replacing them very soon with another pair of the same, but only because of the soles. I wish the soles were lasted longer. Everything else about them have been amazing.
Curently own my second pair of these boots and am ordering a similar pair with a safety toe. My first pair lasted 3 years of every day wear and for the first 6 months of their life was worn for a 5 mile run at least once a week. I do recommend regular polish as my second set does not appear as nice as my first since I slacked off on polishing them.
the boots don't hold up the inner parts have compacted they feel like a size 10.5 (they are a "9" boot and have done this after less than 2 months of ware) and the outer sole on the left boot has worn faster than that of the right boot odd as I rest on my right foot more often this is 2 times in a row i have been dissapointed by recentyly made poducts by 511..... i think ill save my time and money and go back to a $300 leather combat boot atleast those stay the same size.....
Its the best in the market, especially here where it floods a lot. My only problem is that the 511 store here sells it for 180USD or 8100php. I'd order online and have it delivered which would be cheaper but Id rather have the ability to have the guarantee or warranty that goes with a 511.
Wish it was closer to US prices.
I have worn these boots for over 3 years and have put them through strenuous and heavy daily use with no failures. By far the best boots I have ever owned. The inner lining is finally starting to wear out in the toe area from the extended wear. Have found them to be exceptionally warm for a non-insulated boot and will be purchasing a new pair for daily use.
Originally bought these for work (security), but since have started wearing them all the time. Minus a few issues I had during the first month of owning them, I have to say they are the best boots I've ever owned. Extremely comfortable out of the box. Don't have to buy a gel insole, you don't need them. My left boot zipper did stop working about a month after I bought them, got stuck down. After some time working with it I was able to get it zipped back up. However It wont move period now. If it wasn't for me needing them immediately I would have taken them back and swapped out for another pair, but time wasn't on my side. They did feel a little narrow when I got them, I tried the next widest size but they were way too big. After a couple weeks of wearing them, they did stretch out some and the narrow feeling is no longer an issue. I do fully intend on buying another pair or 2 in the future.
