I have worn these boots for over 3 years and have put them through strenuous and heavy daily use with no failures. By far the best boots I have ever owned. The inner lining is finally starting to wear out in the toe area from the extended wear. Have found them to be exceptionally warm for a non-insulated boot and will be purchasing a new pair for daily use.

Originally bought these for work (security), but since have started wearing them all the time. Minus a few issues I had during the first month of owning them, I have to say they are the best boots I've ever owned. Extremely comfortable out of the box. Don't have to buy a gel insole, you don't need them. My left boot zipper did stop working about a month after I bought them, got stuck down. After some time working with it I was able to get it zipped back up. However It wont move period now. If it wasn't for me needing them immediately I would have taken them back and swapped out for another pair, but time wasn't on my side. They did feel a little narrow when I got them, I tried the next widest size but they were way too big. After a couple weeks of wearing them, they did stretch out some and the narrow feeling is no longer an issue. I do fully intend on buying another pair or 2 in the future.

Its the best in the market, especially here where it floods a lot. My only problem is that the 511 store here sells it for 180USD or 8100php. I'd order online and have it delivered which would be cheaper but Id rather have the ability to have the guarantee or warranty that goes with a 511.
Wish it was closer to US prices.

Curently own my second pair of these boots and am ordering a similar pair with a safety toe. My first pair lasted 3 years of every day wear and for the first 6 months of their life was worn for a 5 mile run at least once a week. I do recommend regular polish as my second set does not appear as nice as my first since I slacked off on polishing them.

the boots don't hold up the inner parts have compacted they feel like a size 10.5 (they are a "9" boot and have done this after less than 2 months of ware) and the outer sole on the left boot has worn faster than that of the right boot odd as I rest on my right foot more often this is 2 times in a row i have been dissapointed by recentyly made poducts by 511..... i think ill save my time and money and go back to a $300 leather combat boot atleast those stay the same size.....

First off I need to point out that I'm a woman wearing a men's size 7.5 regular in these boots. I have a difficult to fit foot in women's shoes. To save myself the hassle I just went with a men's size, they fit perfect and after a month of wear I have not experienced any sort of discomfort or pain. Second, even though I don't work in law enforcement or military I wear these boots everyday. While I certainly don't put them through the paces they're meant for in more demanding professions (the most rigorous thing I do is walk nature trails) I have to say they stand up really well. Took about a week of solid wear to break them in and aside for the times I had to put pressure on my toes while kneeling the break in period wasn't terribly painful.

Only down side I have to report is half the time the laces will come untied in less than ten minutes of me putting them on. I've always had this problem with police boots though so it could just be me and the way I tie or walk. Also the side zipper might as well not even be there since I have to unlace the boot to get my foot in it anyway.

Regardless I'm very happy with the boot.

I have had these boots for over a year and a half now. I work along the border and have hiked in mountains, the desert and everywhere in between. During monsoon season, these boots have kept my feet dry. Only one time have my feet gotten a little wet and that was walking through a wash for a half mile with ankle deep water. These boots are very comfortable and have taken a serious beating. The leather outsole has worn off from hiking in rocky areas but with a little polish it blackens again. I haven't needed to buy any inserts, the ones that come with the boots have held up very well. The boots we're ready to go from the day I opened the box (no break in period) and they still feel very secure and comfortable. I would highly recommend these boots.

I have owned these boots for 3+ years now and I am finally about ready to buy a new pair. They get daily use either when I am in the office or working on the ambulance.
My only dislike is the side mesh sometimes makes the boot a little hard to put on, but negligible.

Love these boots!

I am notoriously thrifty when it comes to spending money on myself. After much trepidation, I finally bout a pair of 5.11 All Weather Boots. After wearing those boots for two weeks, I went back and bought a second pair! After approximately a year of HARD use, these boots are still about 90% waterproof. I work on the beach and they are exposed to salt water frequently and still hold up well. They are comfortable, reasonably light weight and durable. I would not hesitate to recommend them or to spend the money to buy another pair.
