Due to increased volume and the impact of COVID-19, we are experiencing delays in processing and shipping orders which may impact delivery time. Therefore, your order may take longer than usual to arrive.

We assure you that any shipping delays will not impact your return or exchange time frame. We thank you for your patience as we fulfill orders as quickly and safely as possible and apologize for any inconvenience.

What Is Your Return & Exchange Policy?

You may return your eligible merchandise to 5.11 for a refund or exchange within 45 days. All Sale items, excluding site-wide discounts, are Final Sale and not eligible for return. Shipping and handling fees will not be refunded. Refunds will be applied to the original credit card used at the time of purchase. Purchases made online at may also be returned at a 5.11-owned retail location so long as you provide proof of purchase and have the original payment method (e.g., the same credit card you used to purchase the product). Please allow five to ten business days from receipt of your returned item(s) for your refund to post. For more information on returns and exchanges, please review the policies listed below.

May I Return or Exchange A 5.11 Product Purchased At A Non-5.11 Owned Retail Location?

We only accept returns of eligible products purchased at 5.11-owned retail locations and online at We have a strong relationship with our authorized retailer partners, however, so if you choose to make a return on a product purchased from one of our authorized retailer partners, please contact the retailer partner directly for information regarding its return policy. You may find a list of both 5.11-owned locations and independently-owned authorized retailers here.

What Items Are Eligible For Returns and Exchanges?

Please be sure to follow washing and handling instructions carefully, as 5.11 does not offer returns or exchanges due to the mis-washing of products. Returned items will be inspected and must be returned in unopened and original condition.

Items marked “Final Sale” and/or promotional items (e.g., free gifts-with-purchase, buy-one-get-one-free items, etc.) may not be returned.

Gift cards may not be returned or refunded, unless required by law.

If the style being returned is no longer available for exchange, a product of equal value may be substituted instead.

5.11 does not accept returns or exchanges from purchases made outside the United States.
