these gloves are good, but not warm enough for cold weather (eastern europe -10 C). not worth their price. however its a good choice if you need reliable and comfortable leather gloves. good for handing a gun, other law enforcement stuff, good for writing with a pen
These are really good gloves. Now i understand the reasoning behind the design of the gloves short cuff ! But ! I wish this glove had a knitted cuff similar to the british army northern ireland glove. I found the cuff on those brilliant because the knitted cuff always slid underneath the cuff of any jkt i wore. Maybe i need time to get accustomed to the short cuff on these gloves ! But it is annoying when you get that gap between jkt cuff and glove. Other than that its an outstanding glove.
Good gloves, I use in the city in the spring and in the autumn. For Russian winter not rather warm.
These are my favorite gloves. Too hot in Georgia to wear for long so these are an investment. This is my second pair. Why? Because I lost one.
Considering that I work and live in a place that gets to 20 degrees below zero for months, I'm pleased with these gloves. I do wish there was a velcro or elastic strap on the wrist to adjust the size. That would make shooting and picking up objects a lot easier. I think a sizing chart to help customers determine their proper size even making an extra small size would be beneficial.
I have tried other gloves for cold weather protection but found them too bulky or their dexterity to be too poor for law enforcement work. That is not the case here. The Praetorian 2 gloves are a great blend of insulation, general hand protection, good grip, and impressive dexterity for an insulated glove. They also seem very durable and are showing almost zero wear after using them for many months. I am very pleased and have been recommending them to my partners and other officers.
I am sold on the "Tactical Touch" (wrap-over style) fingertips that this and other 5.11 gloves have. What a difference they make in dexterity and lack of irritation from a seam rubbing the ends of your fingers.
The only con I can provide is this: While the inside insulation/liner is normally somewhat soft, it becomes scratchy-feeling if your hands are chapped/cracked/dry. However, even then I hardly notice the issue after they have been on for a few moments.
I highly recommend these gloves.
Just recieved these gloves, but they are a little to big. According to the sizing chart, I needed an XL. So I'm gonna return them and get a L. Hopefully that'll help. Will update
Just got these. Very good and warm.
Keeps fingers warm atleast until -10c.
Coldest day after I got these gloves.
Maybe Im lucky, the gloves fit perfect for all my fingers!
I have fiddeled abit with my AR15 and Sig p226, and I have full control. Even load magazines is like a dream!
Awesome dexterity for beeing winter gloves!
And for day to day use, I love them. Walking our dog in snow and cold, is for my first time, a warm experience.
IF any cons. I would really like 1 maybe 2 cm longer gloves. JUST abit short.
My Aggressor parka is perfect sleeve lenght, and when I strech arm a little, it tend to become 1cm opening between glove and parka sleeve.
But its so minor, I dont care.
I bought these gloves because I have the TAC AK2 gloves (which I would recommend to everyone), but needed something warmer for winter. I am disappointed to say that these are no good. They are far too short in the wrists. The rest of the glove fits well enough, but my wrist is exposed to the cold. The cuff needs to either be long enough and wide enough to fit over a jacket sleeve, or long enough and tight enough to fit inside a jacket sleeve. Because of this, I will have to return them and look elsewhere for my hands' thermal insulation needs.
