Great jacket overall. The standard 3XL fit great except for the length - had to wait almost a year to get a 3XLT, but I love it now that I have it. The liner makes a great jacket by itself and looks much more professional than some fleece I've seen.
One nice feature I discovered is that if you pull off one of the chest ID panels, a velcro military-style nametape will fit just perfectly on the remaining piece, and can be pulled out or hidden away just like the bigger panel.
My only complaint is that the mic tabs on the shoulders of the shell are a bit awkwardly positioned - they'd work better closer to the center. As they are, the mic rides way out on the corner of my shoulder if I use them. They're also a bit narrow for the clip on my Motorola which makes them difficult to use. The liner doesn't have them so I clip my mic to the "hidden document" flap instead and that works fine.
Just an absolute awesome jacket!
The best Jacket for all weather. Good ventilation, a lot of pockets.
very very good jacket ,it has many pockets, its warm. perfect for the winter
Bought mine several years ago. This 5 in 1 jacket is so awesome. I bought it in black. What can I say it fits today as it did nearly 10 yrs ago. Weather o. Duty or off it has no contenders that match it. Two things I don't like about it. The inner liner jacket is a magnetic for dog hair. The second is that the main outter coats zipper has failed in the main zipper and pockets. The chest packets are awesome - I carried my weapon G22 in them and it's held up to the weight easily. Wear I live it can get really cold and this jacket will make you sweat at about 10 degrees if your doing a lot of walking. So at nearly 10 yrs old it's still my favorite jacket to wear. Definitely a Jacket to own on and off duty.
I was very concerned when I purchased this, not because of quality but because of potential fit. I am very tall. At 6'5, even "tall" sizes aren't always enough. But this fits like a dream. Sturdy, warm and rugged, all while looking great.
The one complaint I do have is the color. I bought the "dark navy" version, and frankly it looks nothing like the picture in terms of color. On the website, you can easily tell this is a blue colored jacket. Dark, yes, but clearly blue--which is why I bought it. The "real" version, though, is so dark that you can barely tell it is blue at all. Not a major complaint, but certainly irritating after spending so much money.
I have never owned, or seen, anything that compares to this jacket. Warm in the coldest weather, comfortable in cool weather. The first place to look when you loose your keys, 'cause "I know I put them in there some place!" I've had mine for Tahoe winters for (I believe) 9 years. When it finally wears out I will HAVE to buy another. I won't be able to live without it!
Really like this jacket. It fits well, looks sharp, and is very warm. I've used it on several days now in temperatures well below freezing and it does the job.
Love all of the extra pockets. The large pockets at the chest with Velcro closures especially useful for notepads.
For the sf Bay Area this jacket using the supplied liner is almost too warm.
Jacket runs big so had to reorder a size smaller.
Great quality. Should get several years of heavy duty use from this purchase.
Great service coat. Very versatile.
