They are hot. They are okay, I bought mine in February and they seem to have a lot of wear and tear already. I ordered another pair because these are our required uniform.
I've gone through quite a few pairs of these now, and I stand by their comfort and durability. Only problem is the inside of the thighs. If you're not the type to skip leg day, you might want to upgrade, as the inner leg area wears out rather quickly. Very poor choice for bike duty as well.
Still, overall very solid and reliable.
The fire navy pants fade after a few washes, even though I wash them inside out, in cold water, with gentle-keeps dark clothes dark laundry detergent. The pants get white fading spots on them. The knee stitching came out on one pair.
I have four pair of these pants and they hold up very well to the rigors of railroading. Highly recommend these for outdoor use.
...to anything but tacticals. These trousers (not pants) have been my staple since I bought my first pair thirteen years ago. I have worn them in every clime and place and they are the most comfortable and practical trousers I have ever worn. You have me for life and I hope they are never discontinued or I may have to return to the loincloth. And you do not want to see me in a loincloth...
Love the pants, I own 6 pairs of this style alone and several of the other styles in different colors.
I bought two pairs of these pants about two years ago, and have been wearing them almost every day since. I like all the pockets; the magazine pocket on the front will hold anything the size of an iPhone 5 or smaller with no problems, but anything bigger than that won't fit. That's fine with me; I keep my phone in the front hip pocket, and it's plenty big for that.
The only sign of wear on these pants is around back, where I keep an IWB holster and magazine carrier. The screws that hold the belt clips onto these holsters have worn small holes through both layers of fabric in the back of the pants. I recently switched to a different type of screw that will hopefully solve that problem in my next pair.
Overall, these pants are comfortable, durable, and functional, and I'd recommend them to anyone who wears pants.
100% cotton is a mistake
The fit was poor compared to the Traverse and Ridgeline, but I guess you get what you pay for.
Heavy material, so a bit warm in the Mojave summer months, but great in the high desert winters. Overall, my favorite 5.11 pant. What is the woven strap over the back right pocket for, though?
Grabbed one pair for a shooting class and cant get enough. Perfect for self defense and hard wear. Slash pockets keep wallets and such from being uncomfortable when seated and all pockets are perfect for their purpose. Can't put a hole in them if I tried. Perfect.
