I used this bag everyday for several years as my go/ car bag. It had tools, IFAK and other items in it and still add additional room. Will be getting a new one soon as my car was broken into and they took the bag. Would highly recommend this bag.
My only wishlist item for this bag is that the padded shoulder strap had some sort of velcro tiedowns in order to keep it in place. The buckle also creates for some issues trying to adjust the strap to the proper length AND have the pad where it needs to be on your shoulder. If you happen to need the pad AND the buckle in about the same place you're pretty much out of luck.
I use this bag for a low-profile response bag, when you don't want to be screaming "I'm carrying a bunch of gear!" It's perfect for when you're investigating that suspicious sound in a public venue and grabbing and donning your plate carrier or battle belt just isn't appropriate. In my bag I keep two double 5.11 pistol mag pouches attached to the internal molle webbing, and a Safariland molle holster just front of those. This allows me to keep a full sized pistol (in addition to any concealed weapon I may be carrying) and 5 fully loaded pistol magazines. On the outside pouches I keep 20 round PMAGs. With the 20 round magazines, the pouch covers complete obscure the fact there are magazines in there and no visible component of the magazines are present. 30 round magazines can be seen and lead to the "I'm carrying a bunch of gear" issue.
Of course, there is little need to be carrying rifle magazines if you're not carrying a rifle, but that is the beauty of the modular option of this bag. It's stocked TO carry a rifle and if I'm not needing to, doesn't scream "tactical bag loaded full of gear". On each end pouch I have medical supplies. I've a 5.11 TMT L2 flashlight and pocket knife attached to the inside molle, as well. There is still enough room for some water or other supplies, but I keep the bag contents trim for unknown situational purposes.
The storage in this bag is bigger then you think. I've also used it for a diaper bag and it worked great. Every road trip I'm on I pack this bag full half decent half blowout . Bottom line great every day bag
I purchased this bag primarily to be kept stocked and kept in my patrol vehicle for active shooter scenarios. I appreciate the molle webbing which I used to attach two 5.11 double mag pouches to the exterior (one on each exterior pocket. The interior seems a bit small but is functional. I would like to get extra ammo and an IFAK inside without the sacrifice. Otherwise the bag is rugged and the ability to add to the system makes it ideal.
I have 5.11 for most of my work and recreation related activities. This bag is awesome. Interior room is a bit small but use as an active shooter bag it is perfect. Room for six ar mags on the exterior. I added two 5.11 molled pistol mag puches on the two exterior pockets leaving all of the interior space for other items such as a frst aid kit and other items.Sholder strap easilly adjust and the overall construction makes this a rugged bag set for years of use. I keep this one in my patrol vehicle.
Auto bail out bag, small range bag
Bought this product as a patrol pack as well as EDC pack and never left home without it since then.
I agree with the other reviewer, this pack is AWESOME for a diaper carry bag. It carries everything you need and keeps your hands free for baby. Not too bulky and with so many pockets you can keep everything neat and organized.
I realise this is not what it was designed for but it works great as a guys nappy (NZ) bag. Fits wipes, nappies (Diapers), drink bottle, small first aid kit, flash light, cell phone in mag pouches, leatherman etc.
Only improvement, a carry handle on top.
It sure beats the girly bags out there, great for a bloke to carry. Thanks 511.
Great pack, easily holds 9 AR magazines in front pouches but difficult to carry with a back pack due to shoulder carry strap only.
