Feels like a great material. It is easy to conceal nice and long and very nice.
This is my favorite shirt, but I wish there were a version with the same buttons and material without the tactical looking pocket and collar. This is the most comfortable shirt I have ever worn.
Cool: This is a cool shirt. Better than a t-shirt for a 100-degree day.
This is the easiest shirt to draw from I've ever worn.
It's hard for me to imagine a less covert shirt than this, especially in military green. Make sure you wear your NRA hat with this lol. That said the black version is a bit more covert.
I wear these walking the dogs, or fishing.
These shirts are very comfortable and make it easy to conceal a Colt Commander or Defender with an OWB holster and two spare magazines with no printing. I also carry using the 5.11 compression holster shirt and I am 6' 0" 220 lbs.
I was skeptical about purchasing this shirt after reading it was dry clean only. I have used home a dry cleaning kit to maintain several of these shirts until I managed to get some stains that would not come out with dry cleaning. I did some research on the Internet and tried washing the shirts in the washer on the delicate cycle, then hang them up to dry. To my surprise, the shirts look brand new, with no shrinking or visible damage. I will most likely continue to wash the shirts and hang dry now that I know they will survive.
I love 5:11 shits. The issue I have with this style is that after wearing and washing some of the material is starting to ball up. I only bought one shirt to try it out. You may like the pockets on the inside, but after wearing this shirt, I can says I prefer the conceal zipper pocket on the outside.
For those who are worked up about the dry clean aspect, I have owned several colors of this shirt and worn them in the field all across the globe. Never once did I dry clean them and they held together for years. I hate to see this shirt discontinued.
I just got this shirt and while I have absolutely loved all my shirts prior to this I was hoping for a very lightweight shirt for the HOT & HUMID Miami (FL) summers and have been pleased with the lightweight airy and easy clean. THIS was unusually heavy mostly suitable for FALL weather and worst of all, it's DRY CLEAN ONLY!!!! That's a strictly NO GO for me.
These are great shirts, regardless of the having to be dry cleaned. I really like the cut/fit, they conceal my handgun and associated equipment well. They are light weight, as some have mentioned, that said I prefer a light weight shirt, if it is cold I put a jacket on.
I don't wear body armor under it, and I really like the snaps, which you can quickly open one handed to gain access to your equipment (magazines, flashlight, handcuffs, etc...).
Over all, I prefer these shirts over the other offerings 511 currently has. I prefer the single flat/matte colors to the ridiculous plaid patterns 511 currently offers.
I own the whole line of original 5.11 Covert Shirts. I'm extremely disappointed that 5.11 is no longer about quality. These shirts should not be used for anything other than casual daily activities or Fishing. Does not fit well with concealable body armour, tear and wear appear way too fast around the areas where your concealed sidearm and magazines are, and the whole button system is extremely unreliable. The original setting with real buttons and some snaps was a much much better idea.
The shirt is great except that to my knowledge this is the only 5.11 garment that must be Dry Cleaned. I was very disappointed after I removed the tags (I couldn't return it) to see that it was dry clean only. I certainly didn't expect to have any product from 5.11 that I couldn't just throw in the wash.
Buttons come undone very easily if wearing vest underneath and when wearing ear mic with wires routed. Sides began to show signs of wear on inside within three uses. After third wear, multiple holes appeared around concealed holster and ammo pouch locations. Recommend for fishing/casual wear, do not for concealed carry/tactical use.
