Very comfortable and light weight enough to wear in warm weather. Would blend in better if the collar would lay flat.
I will purchase an XL to replace the L I have.
This is perfect for concealment of weapon. It does not shout out police or military, fits in anywhere. Works to keep chill off if necessary, but not too heavy for warm weather use.
Light enough to wear inside. Warm enough for winter outside.
Perfect for carrying a good bit of stuff without looking like it. The cell phone pocket is perfectly placed for one hand use. The bilateral chest pockets can conceal almost anything without bulk. This vest is incredibly warm without being too thick, so it's easy to layer above and below.
I got this vest to wear with my conceal carry. It is very warm and thin. I love the pockets. The front chest zipper pocket is just big enough for a cell phone. The bad part is the collar will not lay down. Other than that I love wearing it.
The vest works great. I live in Houston and we get cold weather for a few days out of the year, but nothing that requires constant jacket wearing for the whole season. That's why this vest is so handy. Any temp below 70 degrees and I can put this on and easily conceal my Glock 32. It's comfortable, and you won't find yourself sweating each time you walk indoors. Perfect for layered clothing when it gets real cold. Additionally, you won't look like a CNN photographer, or some tactical ninja guy. Highly recommend for plain clothes, discrete, concealed carry! Since I am being objective, I would like to find a way to tame the collar from sticking up, but it isn't that big of a deal. Overall, buy the vest! You will be happy.
I hadn't worn a vest since I was a child, and even then it was one of those really "poofy" ones with lots of filling.
I was very pleasantly surprised when the 5.11 Covert Vest showed up and was so thin! I was then surprised again at how warm it was!
Overall, I really like it and it will help me to continue Concealed Carry, as it allows more flexibility with hip or shoulder holsters.
