When I first for this pack a couple weeks ago I was very doubtful that I was going to keep it. I was thinking of returning it for a Havoc 30 (even if is a bit more overt tactical). However the box pack has grown on me. While not full of pockets it has enough. With the generous loop to add accessory pouches as you want or need. Here is what sold me. While working stadium security I fit this in the bag.
Back up LCR w3 reloads
Mini trauma kit
Large first aid kit
Two spare mags for primary
Batteries spares for lights
Multiple pens/handcuff keys/extra small knife
I am sold as a bag I can work out of I could hardly as for more.
What we need now is more hook and loop accessories to go in these bags.
Thanks for the great product.
Purchased this pack on Monday for business travel on Tuesday. I've been using a very good tactical pack and was looking for a solution that blended into a business environment.
I was initially looking at the Covert bags and decided on this one.
I carry 2 full size lap tops when I travel. This bag is large enough to accommodate both lap tops with room to spare. This bag has more capacity than either of the Covert bags in this category and spreads the load well across the shoulders and back.
No major complaints thus far.
All in an excellent pack.
I use this bag for school and since universities don't allow firearms, I use the front pocket for notepads and a knife.
It's definitely durable and able to be beaten up and I presume it will last a long time but my only issues are that the zipper and roll top make access to the main compartment awkward, and it doesn't stand up on its own. The shape should make it obvious but I mean it lays down flat unless you lean it against something. I only feel the need to say this because for some reason I prefer my bags to stand up. It's like a teeter totter trying to get books/laptop in or out but it really was made for tactical use so I can't discredit its functionality. Just the wrong lifestyle.
Despite that, I really love this bag, especially the amount of pockets and its compact nature. My favorite pocket is definitely the bottom cable pocket. It's a really great buy and although I have my own issues with it I am still going to use it forever.
This pack is it! I use it for CCW & E.D.C. It looks like a 30$ find on Amazon and that's what I tell people.
It does not print as advertised. That was the selling point to me but it was the strength and construction of this pack that impressed me. As a test, today I hauled 2 1911 pistols & a 9 MM. plus
200 rounds of ammo for each gun, plus 200 rounds for my shotgun, plus a bottle of water, my lunch,
My knife. It was a heavy load out to say the least but the bag took it. The straps of the bag have a molle web that works well also and looks good. The best part about this bag is no one has said to me, "Wow, what a great bag" it only got looks at the range and I'm sure that's because it had so much weight in it.
Best part is the concealed carry compartment.
I can carry my side arm with quick access with out standing out as with military packs. The water resistant design is also nice esp. in Florida. I do find access with the rolled top a little awkward and wish there was Velcro or snaps to keep the roll top from separating. I plan to have Velcro sewed in to roll top to keep the main compartment from opening. Access to the ballistic plate/admin pockets is also a little weird but doable. Do wish the glasses case was slightly larger so glasses and a small wallet and larger sunglasses could be stored. Overall, I would buy again especially since I have access to an industrial sewing machine to modify to fit my needs.
