This is a decent pants. Except the front pockets are mesh, I don’t want to carry my keys in mesh pockets they will catch and tear the pockets. They don’t seem strong enough for pocket carry. I am returning them
Honestly I love them other than the croch gust is half the size it should be which causes tons of pinch if sitting for several hrs a day or crouching in awkward positions. I definitely will stick with the Stryker pants as I feel this same issue is what's wrong with most of the pants lineup
Over 12 years I have owned/still own probably 30 pairs of 5.11 pants. Mostly worn working in AFG/IRQ. Now I found myself in the Sahara. I have 2 pairs of these Fast Tac Cargo Pants and love them so much, I am buying another couple of pairs. Light weight, sweat dries quickly, plenty of pockets but have to get used to the difference in where I put things between these and the Stryke pants I have that I still wear here but they aren't as light weight. These pack down so much better and I can carry a few more changes than I can of the regular 5.11 cargo pants or the 5.11 Stryke pants.
No, there is not as much stretch in them as the Stryke.
Yes, the pockets are a mesh, so paper items will be exposed to your sweat much faster. No comment on keys or other objects in them though.
I don't have much to say about the leg widths as I am only 5'9" 180 and got thin legs (no I don't skip leg days).
Overall, recommend for hot, dry, deployed climates.
Bought a pair of these for summer use. Fabric is light weight and mesh pockets help with the air circulation. I don't really use the mess pockets for storage as they would probably tear over time. Legs could be more tapered as I find they are quite baggy.
Front slit pocket is wide enough to easily fit S7 edge sized phone. Cargo pockets are quite roomy. Overall a good alternative if you prefer not to wear shorts in your job.
Excelente la calidad de estas prendas
I own a few different styles of 5.11 pants and these are my least favorite. They are well made and perfect for warmer weather but they don't fit me well. If you have an athletic build(5'9,190lbs), big quads in particular, you won't enjoy the tight fit. Wish there was some type of stretching to the fabric but it doesn't flex at all.
Constancy has been the keystone in the pant line.... I have owned almos every pant they make and have never been disappointed until now. I don't know what changed weather it's material used or a design change, but these pants grab at the knees and I almost changed to a Soprano when I sat down. There is absolutely no room in the crotch. Having said that the construction is superb, pants are light weight and all the normal bells and whistles you expect.... I just don't understand why these pants are different?
These pants have a fantastic material!!! The nylon used reminds me of the old ripstop BDU material, but without any of the problems of cotton. Its lightweight and packs down well, but its not that thin taffeta junk that makes you feel naked.
Out in the hot woods for 3 days I got sweaty, smelly, dirty, and they breathe so well and dry so fast. So much better than blue jeans that would have been damp and smelly the entire time.
It's been hot while I've used them, but this kind of material is ideal for cold wet weather where getting cold wet things dry and warm is hard to do and very important.
These Fast-Tac pants are absolutely worth the money. They are not only light weight, but also comfortable and easy to maneuver in. If you're thinking of getting a new pair of tactical-like pants I would definitely give these a try. The waist band is convenient and fits to your waist size without a hassle. Great job by 5.11!
Pockets are made of mesh, rather than a continuous cloth like traditional pants. Not good for keys.
