I love the fabric of the "shirt" and would wear it on duty, but it is not within the standards of the Army, wish that 5.11 would fix it so it is inline with the regulations so I can wear it to work.
Like all 5.11 products I own, this shirt is well made and built to last. Pleased as always with the quality. Looks great, fits great, definitely worth the money.
It will be excellent for cold weather but it is not at all suitable for even remotely warm weather. I own many other 65/35 poly cotton ripstop products but this is the the heaviest and stiffest material I've ever seen and it just doesn't breathe.
If they would make this shirt using the same weight material as the 5.11 Taclite long sleeve shirt (of which I own many) I would probably buy 10. That shirt is adaptable to all pretty much all weather conditions, and this one is only good for cool/cold weather.
Can't go wrong if you need a cold weather option. Avoid for warm/hot weather use.
Getting older you aren;t in the shape you once were but this jacket fits better than anything the military ever gave me,will get a couple more for a rainy day!
Perfect Match for the TDU Pants. Great Product.
Shirt? Yeah, or a light jacket it's so heavy. Seems like it will last a while though because it is well constructed. Sizing seems a little on the large end if you have to guess. I am 5'6" 150lbs and got the small which is a good fit to a little large (which is better than too small). I often wear mediums in a lot of other tops.
