i love the heft of it and it doesn't sag at all when carrying my gun and extra mags. it's very well made and the velcro holds strong.
i originally bought the black version of this belt. after about a week of wearing it, i bought the coyote version. i'm also planning on getting the tdu green version so i have all 3 colors.
after years of struggling with finding the right belt, especially one that lasted more than a year, I finally justified spending the money of a top of the line belt. what can i say, im never going back. this belt has met and exceeded my expectations. Comfy, easy to adjust and makes IWB 9mm carry a breeze. have yet to use in an extreme condition but im more than confident it will hold up.
So I purchased an operator belt and I liked it so much I bought my wife one as well. After a couple of months I purchased another belt for myself as a backup. Now it has been roughly 4 years and I have worn the belt every single day. In the last year I began to notice that the belt was starting to get shorter, but I thought I was gaining weight. So I was getting ready to get a new belt in a larger size because the Velcro didn't reach the opposite piece anymore. I stumbled onto my new backup belt which I had forgotten about, it's been 4 years right! I decided to give it a try and low and behold it fit just fine. WTF! I laid the belts flat side by side and that's when I realized the belt I had been wearing for the last 4 years was a full 1 1/2 inch shorter than the new one. So the general warranty says the products are guaranteed as long as you own the product. So I called customer service, who were very nice. The problem is they told me that the warranty was only good for 12 -18 months. I remember when I father was so sad because his leather belt he got while visiting Mexico finally broke after 42 years. 511 says my belt shrinkage is due to normal wear and tear. I disagree, and I probably wont buy another one.
This belt stands up to it's reputation. It fits well and is sturdy and stands up to repeated uses. I am very happy with this product
This belt is very heavy duty and STIFF, and it holds a holster very well.
It does work very well with the 5.11 Stryke Pants.
But it DOES NOT work with the 5.11 TacLite Shorts. The belt is TOO THICK to use with the TacLite Shorts. The belt will feed through the belt loops, but once you put it on and cinch it down, and velcro the belt onto itself, it becomes too thick to tuck the velcro'ed belt in the belt loop.
I've had this belt for about three weeks. I love it so much, I just ordered a second one. The high quality construction makes this the ideal belt for me with all the activities I do. It's also the perfect belt for concealed and open carry.
When I return home, I will give away all but two of my leather belts to used for more business/formal wear. Otherwise, I'll use my two operator belts, exclusively. Well done 5.11.
Awesome belt! Simple and tough. Wearing it everyday.
great belt, other than the velco. specifically the hook side of it. velcro closure is worn out after about 8-9 months of use. fix this issue and i'd rate it 5*
Believe it or not this belt is so strong ive pulled car out of the snow! ive been in a few situations where i had no D-ring shackle or anything to hook my strap to on a car. so i improvised and used my belt to hook the strap to the car! Was skeptical at first but each situation it was snowing sideways and had no other choice. Awesome gun and survival belt.
I love this belt I bought it 6 months ago and it's everything i was hoping it would be. It fits snug which is great for carrying radios on. I work in EMS and I definitely recommend it for any first responders.
