I have 4 of these pouches and have them mounted on my 2 banger, moab 6, Rush delivery Mike and Rush 12. The pouches are 5 years old and are in perfect condition. They are not closet queens. They are used daily.
Works well, is tough and cheap.
Would be perfect with a few modifications.
Needs more room on the top left of the pouch to allow for the mic attachment plug (motorola XTS). A patch of stretch material here would work.
Fits fine without mic.
A plastic insert over the PTT button to prevent accidental open mic.
A slot at the front to take a spare battery (getting picky here).
This is a nice, fairly inexpensive radio pouch. I have used it with large Motorola radios and smaller digital radios as well. They all seem to fit well but it may be tight with a mic attachment on the side. I use this on a duty belt, which is not technically MOLLE but the layout of the snaps and elastic bands lets it fit securely. It holds it very snugly and I am not worried about it falling. I think they could make it 1-2 cm wider and still be able to hold the radio well but not be as tight.
I use this on my 5.11 responder 24 backpack while hiking through the wilderness of my jurisdiction. I use a Motorola HT1000 with a mic and it fits perfectly. Very rugged piece of equipment.
The function of the product is very good. It will handle shorter and taller radios with simple adjustment. I use at least three different radios depending on which agency is running a particular operation. I had some difficulty with certain radios fitting in the pouch if the accessory attachment is on the side of the radio. I was still able to get them in but it required a little finesse.
A note on attachment: I bought several molle products at the same time. The 6x6 and radio pouches fit perfectly. The pistol mag and cuff pouches fit but only if I skipped one of the loops on the pouch. It was very frustrating during installation that some of the products fit perfectly and were easy to install and the others were not. I only mention this as a warning that there may be slight differences item to item, which could affect the ease of installation.
Using this on my vest carrier at work. The slicksticks are a good idea but poor in practice. Malice Clips or Molly Stix are way better. That being said, this is a great buy. My department uses motorola xts 3500 series radios and this fits them perfectly. I snipped off a couple useless loops, and also the buckles for the slicksticks. After I got those out of the way I used Molly Stix to attach the pouch. it is now on there rock solid. You may have to make small adjustment like I did, but its worth the time.
Works great for radios but you cant completely fit one in there unless its small, and its easy to hit radio buttons when in pouch.
I am a prepper and this pouch hold's my radio on my Molle body armor very snuggly.Great pouch!
I wear this on my Protective Vest while on patrol. It is very durable, fits securely, but one of the snaps broke the second day of owning it. I haven't had problems with the other items in the same line (mag holders and cuff case) which seem to be holding up well.
This radio pouch serves its purpose and appears very well constructed, which you'd expect from 5.11. Pouch holds my Motorolla XTS 2500 secure to my armor carrier tac vest. My only complaint is the Slickstick molle attachment has two plastic buckles at the top, and the two buckles push the top of the radio out and away from your body, making the radio stick out more than I'd like. Not a deal breaker, and the pouch is still a good one, I just prefer my gear to be as streamline as possible so things don't get snagged.
