they feel good and meet my requirements. I have to wear insoles for almost all of my footwear so the only real issue I had was that these are a tad difficult to put on. Took me about 3 days to break them in. As of now I am very happy with them. I may go ahead and treat them with mink oil or some other agent to get them a tad more supple though and hopefully prevent any more creasing
I started wearing Speed boots when they first came out. The second generation (2.0) were inferior to the first gen in terms of quality and how long/well they held up. I work between 60 and 110 hrs a week on my feet; comfortable shoes are important. The 2.0's were still good boots though. These new 3.0 boots are terrible. Gone are days of no break in needed. My feet kill me after wearing these. I cant remember the last time I had to shop for reliable comfortable footware, but with these boots I find myself in that situation again.
Had about a year. Boots cracked and split at bend by toes
The boots are really comfortable, break in time takes a few weeks of every day wear, kind of a struggle to put on, when you get your foot in they comfortably hug your feet (would like to see a side zip option one day) the laces are awesome they're kind of stretchy (in a good way). But my biggest problem came on the first day, when I took the first step the leather on the left boot got this zig zag fold where my big toe sits and it pinched the crap out of my toe every time I took a step but once they were broken in it didn't pinch (this is NOT a manufacturing problem). It's been a few months and the boot is holding up well so far, and no more pinching of the big toe, haven't had the chance to climb a fence I'll update on that later.
