They look tought and fency
I have owned two pair of these pants and worn them to work for years with only minor discolouration of the dark navy. The ripstop, and Teflon, and draw strings around the cuffs have kept them looking professional despite messes and rough work. The internal knee pad pockets are great for days on the range on examining vehicles and aircraft; side pockets fit my huge notebook holder along with a case for sunglasses, or dump pouch for pistol mags; the hip pockets are deep enough to hold my big phone and wallet without worrying about anything falling out; and the stretching waistband accommodated my weight gain and subsequent loss of 25lbs. I am issued pants for free from my agency, but I would happily buy these out of pocket instead.
Very comfortable light weight pants. Had other brands before and never go back. Taclite tdu pants rock
Just as some advice. I normally wear size 32. I have another pair of taclite-pro-pants in size 34, which fits nice as there is a bit more breath room for my CCW holster. These however said they are from 31-34..So i figured they would be nice. The largest they go feels like 32 of any other pants Ive had, 34 on this and 34 on my other taclite-pro-pants are not the same. Would need the one step up (large) to make it fit nicely with a CCW holster.
Great product, just wish the sizes would be the same between products, will have to get another one larger size to fit better.
I have used the taclite TDU for two years 40-60 hr a week as a paramedic. I am 6,1 160 and wear the medium, regular. The pant held up great and is just starting to wear out. They repel water/stains/blood, dry easily, soil brushes off easily. The pockets with the AR mag pouches are great for holding/consealing EMS accessories. The adjustable waist band is a great fit when layers are added.
After two years of hard use, just starting to fade, look dirty all the time and the hook and loop closures don't work anymore. Otherwise they have always looked professional.
-run a little short
-knee pad is too high on leg (when kneeling pad is mid knee to upper thigh, and knee is half on the pad =painful)
Recommendations for RD
-mount knee pads lower on leg
-knee pad opening on the top instead of the bottom
-ability to hem to length
The uniforms that I've order for my fiance and I, We love them. Rugged, Breathable material and easy to wash, with the K9 unit we get dirty fast.
I was looking for a replacement from my proper BDU pants that were issued to me when I got hired and the old ones I bought since from 2010 from my last job-site. It has been over three years since I've have bought or upgraded to any BDU's pants, so I am past due for an upgrade. I was at a police store in northern, VA and I saw the TDU, tried them on and this is what I needed. Comfort, Durability, light, love the feel when I tried it on and it looks way better than the proper BDU, sorry proper but 511 tactical is here to stay with me.
I needed some pants that would be more rugged and versatile than the ones I've worn before while teaching my Unarmed Combatives and CQC classes and while participating in the various other types of training that I do.
These pants are not only comfortable to wear while I train and teach, but also come out of the dryer ready to wear and look much more professional than the other pants I've tried in the past. The expandable waistband is also helpful in transitioning from a duty-type belt rig to a concealed, inside the waistband rig; whatever my training for that particular day requires. I am very satisfied with my purchase at this time!
I work in a warehouse moving freight and need the durability at the same time need something light because of the very hot temperature's. Do a lot of bending and moving and need the flexibility so with the adjustable waist and light material these are perfect.
I had to laugh when I put the pants on the first time because they are the exact same ones I wore when I worked for an armored truck company. Liked them then and liked then now. LOVE the elastic in the waist, the guards for the clip on your knife, and all the pockets.
