I bought this as an overnight/weekend bag but it also serves well as a camping organiser and range bag. On delivery its size is a bit of a surprise as it comes folded down into its own 7” x 13” mesh wash bag. Once unfolded this is clearly a small duffle as advertised (although its designation “Mike” stands for medium) however it has proved to have adequate capacity to hold enough gear for a two-day trip if like me you like to travel light.
The duffle has one external web panel that can take one small MOLLE adaptable pouch. There are also a couple of loops at each end next to the grab handles that could carry pouches with a single attachment straps. There is a zipped flat pocket behind the web panel and a zipped flat mesh pocket under the lid. The wash bag can be suspended in the inside of the duffle by two built in plastic toggles, the outsized shoulder pad can be fitted in the same way providing a web panel for the inside of the bag, however due to the orientation of the webbing on the shoulder pad, pouches can only be mounted horizontally.
The Double-tap colouring is smart if you like drab finishes as I do and the 5.11 logo in orange on the top of the bag is a nice touch making this an attractive an distinctive bit of kit. There are cheaper holdalls on the market but none that I have seen that look as good or offer as many organisation options in such a small and eye-catching package.
Very comfortable sports bag. In the bag fits everything you need for training. If you train with weights and doing fitness - this bag is the best choice.
This bag is both great quality and looks great. It is much smaller than I thought it would be however it is still a decent size. If you plan on going to the gym or just carrying a few things of gear around this bag is perfect and takes little space. However if its for a few days I would suggest one of the larger bags.
This size is best for carry on or to sit in the passenger seat. I use it to carry my chem gear or to go to the range.
